I'm so done with Death Riders their heat segment went so long I fell asleep for a bit. Managed to wake up for the comeback but yeah please just turn on Mox and be done with it. 

But hey look at all that sweet, sweet blood. Both matches were fun though the women's one far eclipsed it. And for the love of fuck get Skye in a horror movie, already!

Skye Blue got what she wanted, and was loving it. Excalibur called it a .75 Muta and at first I disagreed because it didn’t spray or spurt, but it was a deep cut because she was still pouring blood throughout.

Just a night of mayhem, I have to go to bed but I was wildly entertained and truly loved how the men’s ended.

Absolutely epic night.  Skye Blue became a legend tonight.  I hated that TayJay didn't get to be involved so Statlander could be forced in instead, but loved that Skye got her time to shine. Mercedes' greatness in her spots throughout made the switch to 6 on 6 worth it at least. The heel team looked great in victory and came off as total badasses. Overall excellent.

I was waiting for Flair to come help Steamboat, then when Mark got attacked, wondered if he'd make an appearance, only to find out he apparently just spoke to the live crowd before the show. Thought the Steamboat segment was really fun overall. Hangman/Hobbs and the post match chaos ruled. 

Thought the main event ended brilliantly as the ultimate payoff to the weeks long O'Reilly/Moxley rivalry which I didn't see coming. Loved that they paid that off from Kyle winning the first match by DQ to a double countout in the rematch to Kyle getting the final blowoff here. Incredible way to put Kyle over as a star there, unexpectedly.

I sure hope the Death Riders doesn’t get taken over by Gabe Kidd and Scrilla Bologna and their ilk from New Japan. That would be lame. I feel like that’s where this is going, Mox had a shocked face like he didn’t know Gabe was gonna be there. Also, no weedwhacker spot, but Darby did catch on fire (Jack Perry is a coward!) so it redeemed itself.

Am I going crazy or did Marina spit out a tooth after Toni was kicking her after Mina gave up? It sure looked like it. Women’s B&G was great. Some of the spots were a little clunky but there was a nice mix of veterans and rookies so I’ll forgive it.

I’ll never understand people on Twitter wishing these matches were more like the old ones from the 80s with little to no weapons, no leaving the ring etc. No thanks, go watch those matches instead. I wanna see Toni Storm get blasted in the face with a mirror or Darby set on fire.

A bit hard to remember everything even with notes but this was a fun night of mayhem.

- MVP of Women's B&G: Skye Blue. Bled first, bled a lot. She was one of the ones I least expected it from, except the two people that didn't bleed who I expected would not bleed (Mercedes, who at least took a table bump, and Megan). All the ladies were well prepped by dressing in white almost exclusively. Megan coming down in her outfit was hilariously dumb. Toni at least wore white facepaint and had a fake-bloody mouth. Willow did it up again like in the tailgate match by having the white top with this time a pair of pants pulled from the closet of Rosie Perez when she was doing dance choreography on In Living Color. Top parts were: Jamie wrecking everyone callously as soon as she got in the ring; Thekla almost (or completely? they didn't show it) falling behind the ring with her legs in the air, which would be happen to I think Darby later on too; Toni trying to pull off a Taipei Death Match hands thing; Marina's crazy ass doing the same thing with her FOOT; the horrific mirror spot and a finish that had all the heels smiling and laughing at the faces which was perfect. Skye standing against the cage gave the camera this side eye with a big grin on her face and that made the whole match. 

- Hobbs and Hanger was alright. I couldn't resist thinking that they were gonna have a World War III battle royale after this. Poor Hobbs pretty much pulled a Randy Orton on the table, then he literally bounced off the floor on his bump. There was a little kid who squeaked out "HOLY SHIT" while they were fighting next to the crowd and I swear Hangman was laughing without smiling. It was really all just a push to get to the electrified table spot. It was cool. Moving along. 

- FTR and Stoke shitting on Rick Steamboat was pretty pointless. Stokely has mad heat though. They told Upholstery Man to stay in the parking lot and ply his wares out of the back of his rented Lexus, I guess. 

- At first I was afraid the men's B&G was gonna fizzle in comparison but it picked up down the stretch. The Callis Family jumping Chicken wasn't necessary at all but whatever. MVP here was, of course, the hero of the match: Kyle O'Reilly, who bled more than Skye did in the last match. It was a full Muta and because he's pale as a vampire it looked like he was actually going to die from blood loss the whole time. I made even less notes on this one... let's see... They stapled Orange's hands in his pants. They fought outside the cage yet again, because it's AEW (there was an AEW Everybody Goes Down spot in the last match that I really hated that they put in there). Surprisingly they didn't use the bed of nails from the last one, but Mox did bring all the broken glass and the barbed wire bat back. Darby took a fire bump because he's Darby and promptly lit his trousers aflame due to the overdose of lighter fluid that stupid Gabe Kidd put on the tables. Like the women, they worked out a great finish here with the faces making a miracle comeback in the clutch and KOR snaking up Moxley for the tapout. You can complain about him and Roddy being vanilla but they've both been working tough, excellent matches with Mox and for KOR to finally get a clean win is vindication for him and a proper blow-off between the two. Hothead Garcia was the first person to run up to Mox and complain so I'm guessing we either get a slow peeling off of comrades or maybe they all desert Mox. Should be interesting.

I was tied up so missed much of the show, did tune in for a sec near the end and saw people fighting on top of the cage so... yeah I think that's just about every year now.

At least they didn't use the beyond overused "someone quits to save someone else from a horrible beating" ending they've absolutely run into the ground again, right?

Well I thought this was a good show tonight. The women's match more than made up for the fact they just threw a bunch of them together at random with a week to go for the match. Skye Blue became Blood Red Skye tonight. I actually liked the ending with Marina smothering Mina while Toni watched on in horror.

Hangman/Hobbs was fun. I thought it was a little over kill to have a falls count anywhere match in between all this...but it ended up working out. Joe ends up getting duped at the end and now we get a cage match between him and Page at Full Gear.

Steamboat might be going on 73, but he can still get that emotion over from a crowd. 

Men's blood and guts was all right. Kyle O'Reilly went above and beyond tonight. They said the Don Callis family attacked Mark Briscoe. Well maybe show that happening instead of Renee saying it. But yeah him coming down all beat up was a cool spot and gotta give it to Yuta for taking a Jay Driller on the top of the cage. Moxley needs to go away for a while after tapping out. Let Claudio beat the shit out of him next week and they all kick him out of the group.

Overall a good show tonight.

- as yoozh the girls were doing more innovative stuff n compelling character work than the boiz. i was so sad 4 toni at the end. 

- rip hobbs' tailbone 

- the boiz match did what it was sposed 2 n made kyle look like he deserves 2 b at mox's level. i rly hope they have something cool planned 4 him hes so talented n has worked so hard he rly deserves a chance n i think hes meeting the moment. im not rly sure what form that takes but i rly hope they capitalize! ^_^

- i rly rly rly rly rly think they shld stick 2 one a year n it shld alternate years between the ladiez n the boiz. having 2 is almost always gonna make the women feel secondary n like itd b nice 4 a company 2 acknowledge that in 2025 the top women r as big of stars as the top men n are having generally like more compelling matches. theres no reason the womens match cldnt have been the only blood n guts match 2nite n closed the show, it wld have been a powerful ending that leaves a lot of openings 4 future matches n stories. wwf shld do this 2 but idc rly cos i dont watch their show lol.

- every time i watch a new wargames match im like reminded that i just dont rly think wargames as a match concept makes any sense lol. i feel like the fact that no falls can happen b4 every1 is out just kinda negates the purpose of the entire 1st section of the match, n like as some1 in the discord server pointed out, because a fall cant happen until every1 is out, it actually makes coming out 1st a disadvantage not an advantage. like nobody thinks coming out early 4 a rumble is an advantage. my solution 2 this btw is have eliminations possible 4 the 1st section of the match n then once every1 is out n theyre in the match beyond, its 1st fall 2 a finish. that way theres like incentive 2 eliminate as many of ur opposing team as possible so when the match beyond starts, u can have a numbers advantage. ur welcome 4 fixing war games =p

What an amazing game plan by the women's heel team! Getting two of the slimmest participants to sneak out to get the key, lock out a part of the face team and use Mina to tug on Toni's heartstrings for the victory! I mean the heel team lucked out with Penelope's injury at least as much as face team was SOL with Aminata's injury. Safir was a huge part of heel's success here and even with Penelope's previous hardcore match experience, she would not have been this effective in there! Also, as spectacularly well Mina did for herself in there, there is no way in hell Toni gives  half a shit about anyone other than Mina enough to surrender. Pretty incredible story in this one and the amount of blood was pretty shocking, in a good way!

I'm sure Mox (via Safir) had a lot to do with plotting out such a dastardly plan for the women (you know the bed of nails was there at his behest) as well as Mercedes.

Also, I have to mention Mini Mone getting revenge (via Harley) by hiding brass knucks in her "prison wallet" as one of countless highlights of the match!

The falls count anywhere match wasn't too amazing but the ending was spectacular and it served the purpose of getting a stipulation for the World Title match.

FTR being bloody dicks to Steamboat, who was even willing to walk away from the fight, was good, thanks to Brodido getting in there in time to stop the piledriver.

I was wrong about Kyle being the one to be taken out of the match, and even Briscoe couldn't be stopped for too long, just enough to mess up the faces one man advantage for a while.

Yeah, getting your hands stapled into your jeans pockets must suck. Ripping them out can't be too nice, either.

PAC and Kidd killed Darby and tried to burn the evidence!!! I have it on film! Alert the authorities!

Kyle went near full Muta and was still able to tap out Mox. This was the biggest thing he's done, since beating Darby in a PPV match.

Crazy night, that was! Garcia (at least) looked like he was just concerned for Mox, but you'd hope this makes someone question Moxley's ability to lead the Death Riders after this one!

feels like the only "endless epic" way to transfer over control of the Death Riders is to have prospective candidates for the new boss fight it out in a match where the rest of the group decides which guy to follow and the match ends in another Death Rider beatdown
