Hook & Eddie Kingston's opponents on the pre-show will be the Workhorsemen.

Might I say: hell yeah

I honestly am really enjoying this slow return for Kingston. It makes that inevitable big feud with Mox or whoever even bigger when they pivot

I may have mentioned this on the board before, but I was well into adulthood before I learned that "Newark" was a separate city in New Jersey, and not just "New York" enunciated poorly.

Is it though, really?

Crazy fact: This Saturday at Full Gear, it will be Mercedes “Último” Moné’s 50th singles match under her current name since 2023. Her win-loss record is 46-3 (93.87%). The only three women that has ever pinned her are Mayu Iwatani, Willow Nightingale & “Timeless” Toni Storm.

PPV predictions in bold:

Updated card. C&P f4wonline.com:

AEW Full Gear, Saturday, November 22, 8 p.m. Eastern time on pay-per-view —

AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page defends against Samoa Joe in a steel cage match.

AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander defends against Mercedes Mone.

AEW Tag Team Champions Brody King and Bandido defend against FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler).

TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher defends against Mark Briscoe in a No DQ match.

Casino Gauntlet match to crown the first AEW National Champion. Shelton Benjamin.

$1 million trios match: Kenny Omega, Jack Perry, and Luchasaurus vs. The Young Bucks and Josh Alexander.

No Holds Barred match: Jon Moxley vs. Kyle O’Reilly.

PAC vs. Darby Allin.

Four-way tag team match: Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa vs. Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir vs. Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron vs. Julia Hart and Skye Blue.

---

I wouldn't be surprised if Samoa Joe causes an upset. Statlander/Mone, PAC/Darby Allin, Jon Moxley/Kyle O'Reilly, the Casino Battle Royal between Ricochet/Shelton Benjamin and the four-way tag I went back and forth on.

They're not just having a No DQ and an NHB, they're doing a cage match which you know they are gonna have weapons in, AND they're doing that silly Tailgate Brawl where somebody is gonna be wearing football gear or using a hockey stick or a charcoal grill or something.

Not a lot of excitement here going into this one. I totally get it. BNG kinda felt like a bookend PPV, and, in general, it's felt like an overload of Wrestling lately. I'll be watching this one on delay as to avoid the cliche 'it was too long' complaint. I'll take my regular three 90 minute plus portions for maximum viewing pleasure.

I'm with most of these predictions, tho, I'm a little less sure about Mox-KOR. I also think Ricochet wins the National Title battle royal.

That's how she should have been booked in WWE but they screwed it up at WrestleMania 32 and it was an uphill battle ever since.  It's amazing that she was still able to get as much out of that run as she did and have some PPV main events,  even main event a Mania with Bianca.  They never did her any favors.

Yeah, I was wavering between Ricochet and Shelton Benjamin.

WrestleMania XXXII pissed me off the most then Hell in a Cell 2016.

I'm never going to complain about Tony Khan giving us our money's worth on a PPV but this was a show where the crowd was definitely getting tired, I mean it's 12:30am on the east coast in Newark.  These people been up all day and at the event since before 7PM. LOL.  I went to WrestleMania 35 and even I was tired as hell by the end.

That said it was a very good show.  A couple matches probably could have been saved for a Dynamite and the preshow probably didn't need 4 matches.

I thought Darby/PAC,  Brodido/FTR,  KOR/Moxley, Mercedes/Stat and Hangman/Joe were all "bangers" as they say....

Joe winning was somewhat surprising but I loved how they went about it.  DAMN he looked crazy.  So. Much. Blood.

Then SWERVE returned to a huge pop.  Good shit. Well worth the $40 on HBO.

FTR/Brodido was a bit overkill but had it's moments. Bandido's doomsday counter landing on top was my fav. Bandido took so much that the actual finish felt a bit weak.

Kyle/Mox ruled again and Briscoe/Fletcher was probably my favorite match of the night. All 4 guys bringing the blood there. Mark's froggy bow off the ladder that Fletcher jumped in to was excellent.

the Bucks getting the win felt kind of pointless given the aftermath, but a fun "friendship triumphs over money!" bit.

Nice performance from Mercedes against boring ass statlander. In a world of finisher kickouts, Mercedes of all people going down to one finish from a "one armed" opponent was some truly awful shit. hated it. The most obvious outcome imaginable going in, glad it wasn't the main event or I would've turned it off early. I'll be the outlier on this, but not a fan at all. a far cry from previous better matches like Mone/Toni.  Lame.

Joe/Hangman was the shocker of the night. Shorter match compared to the rest of the card and surprisingly short reign overall for Hangman.

I will say that if they have Swerve beat Joe for the title at the next ppv I will accept that as an apology for waiting too long to take the title off Joe to put on Swerve last time 🙂

My fridge moment of the night was "...when you think about it 14 suplexes or anything really in a row should probably be a finish" >_>

I thought this was a really good show tonight. I was kinda surprised by the sheer amount of blood shed during the show. Joe tapped a gusher for sure.

With Hook turning heel, I'm interested in seeing the response from Eddie Kingston. That could be a fun little feud between him and Hook.

I was surprised Moxley tapped out again. They have to be building to an angle with the other Death Riders kicking him out seeing how he keeps losing now.
