Rocky Romero is VP? That's... interesting? Unexpected is more like it.

Vice President of Show & Talent Coordination in both New Japan and AEW.

You’d think WWE wrestlers would be used to wrestling 3 minute matches…

They may have been worried for their safety, as the last time two lesbians got three minutes, they were crushed by Rosey and Jamal.

Quite large as long as you swear allegiance to JK Rowling. Just imagine me saying that with the deepest of sighs.

I was going to say, there's no shortage of people from marginalized groups desperate to be seen by those in power as "one of the good ones."

Imagine wanting Wrestling to always follow some basic handbook?

See: Every "old school" wrestling podcaster/writer.

There's no excuse for what they did.  You're not a contracted wrestler.  If you agree to come in and do a job for some TV time then you do it. Anything else is bullshit and they were definitely sandbagging Megan Bayne in the previous match.  Apparently, even Bryan Danielson spoke to them about it.

I haven't watched in a few weeks but saw a clip of their backstage debut and immediately thought, "Ah fuck, not the WWE Disney's Descendants bright fake hair bullshit in AEW's women's division!"

Dodged a bullet, thankfully!

That's useful info, but my point about Willow Nightingale wasn't that you can overcome "jobber stink" with time. It's that I'm not convinced there's even such a thing as "jobber stink" in 2025. I doubt getting squashed on Collision would have hurt the two even in the short term. For the one who didn't have a WWE run, I would think would being on international TV would only raise her profile.

Yeah, look at how much Harley Cameron lost before winning anything! Now she can believably score an upset over big stars and convincingly beat people up to a certain level and still basically get beaten as often as needed and people probably will just love her more!

Newell told Sapp that neither she nor Alize have ever met Danielson. So he may have been fed some inaccurate info there from others. Or she's lying. YMMV.

I felt bad for Nixon with all her injuries so this being her last year makes sense.  But from what I read it sounds like the same tired playbook from idiots starving for attention and saying awful things.  Talking about them just isn't worth it to me beyond this.

What is worthwhile is that I haven't seen Collision yet but the idea of Roderick Strong beating Mox in 20215 seems wild to me given their statuses on the roster.  I always did like Roddy so I'm sure I'll be happy watching this back.

Also given they'll both be over eighteen thousand years old by then.

(Yes, I'm making a stupid joke based on an obvious typo. I gotta be me.)

If true and the Danielson part of this is wrong,  I'm not sure it changes how I feel about what they did.  The videos of them sandbagging Megan are out there and the excuses they've made for why they left an hour before bell time at 'Collision'  are enough for me to think maybe Tony should never use them again.  That's rough to already be out of a job at WWE and then burn your bridge at the other major U.S. promotion.

Another strong showing from Ace Austin opposite Kyle Fletcher. Ace's best yet and an excellent match. Austin might have something more than just 'really great hand'. It would benefit him to tweak the presentation - maybe get a reasonably stylish haircut. It would also benefit him to drop that lame card gimmick. The in-ring is fantastic. I'm really happy for the guy. He's always been a hard working dude.

He’s a tailor-made douchebag heel with his gimmick and presentation, and once they decide to go that route he’s gonna be great.

I was surprised you didn't do Orange/Claudio.

I was exhausted! The five I do are Athena, Darby, Dustin, Eddie, Rush. And he put three on dynamite.

I did post this though.
