Pete Posted November 4 Posted November 4 College Gameday will be in Lubbock for Texas Tech/BYU. Guns up, nuns up.
RIPPA Posted November 4 Posted November 4 So the new thing is that Lane Kiffin is gonna wait and try and get the New York Giants job As I type that through gritted teeth...
hammerva Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I know we shouldn't take too much stock in playoff brackets now but clearly someone would like to see an Indiana vs Notre Dame rematch
Brian Fowler Posted November 7 Posted November 7 In news that is sure to go over very well in Madison, Wisconsin A.D. Chris McIntosh announced Luke Fickell will be the head football coach in 2026.

I can't think of a more entertaining combination of people than Lane Kiffin, Jaxson Dart, and Cam Scatteboo. Speaking of Lane and calling back to a conversation we had a week or so ago...In my offline Dynasty in College Football 26, Lane eventually took over for Dabo at Clemson. He got them to #2 in the country and the National Semi-Final game...then took the job at Michigan before the game was played. And you guys said Lane wouldn't do something like that.
SirFozzie Posted November 8 Posted November 8 This seems like something that needs to be stopped, since CFB teams have so many players on their rosters, players can have duplicate numbers which is ok, as long as two players with the same number aren't on the same play.. They changed their 3rd string QB's jersey number before this week to the same number as the punter, and snuck them out in the punter's place for a fake punt to throw a TD. seems really game-y. USC's Sam Huard, wearing No. 80, fools Northwestern with trick play - ESPN
RIPPA Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Give Northwestern credit for just being “yeah… they got us” But have to figure this is gonna put the rule on everyone’s radar
odessasteps Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) What a catch. My brain still has problems computing that Indiana is really good at football. I mean, we were happy going to things like the Copper and Liberty Bowl with Bill Mallory and Anthony Thompson. Edited November 8 by odessasteps 1
hammerva Posted November 8 Posted November 8 That catch was so great I think Gus Johnson went back in time and hit puberty again. The sounds coming out of him 2

Brian Fowler Posted November 8 Posted November 8 At least for the broadcast network games, this has been just a great day for Big Ten football
Brian Fowler Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Wisconsin trying to get that Big Ten upset we almost saw twice earlier today
Brian Fowler Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Weird schedule quirk today. Michigan, Michigan State, Central Michigan, and Western Michigan are all on a bye week, leaving Eastern Michigan as the only division one team to play in the entire state today.

SirFozzie Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Turns out the USC play is already illegal: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/46905446/big-ten-says-usc-penalized-fake-punt-ploy
Pete Posted November 10 Posted November 10 This is actually high school (West Virginia), but everyone needs to see the awesomeness of a 350-lb linebacker intercepting a pass and taking it to the house... or as it's now called, the THICC SIX. 1
