username Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 Cody/Roman is such an odd match as I just don't see the "next chapter" coming out of it regardless of who wins. If Cody loses the whole "finish the story" deal becomes much less finished and that was probably one of their most notable successes in the past decade or so, and if he wins I don't see how either of them are really in much of a different place than they were after their last Mania match. I guess there's a ton of time to set something up and perhaps Cody turns heel and it makes for pleasant symmetry, but as of right now I ain't feeling it. Punk/Bron is fine enough, Bron is clearly next man up and Punk is a solid enough guy to beat for the belt.
Niners Fan in CT Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 If they go with Roman/Cody again I just have to assume it's more "booking for moments" and TikTok bullshit and nothing else. I can't think of a way they could create an actual engaging story out of it.
