Also, awful people doing awful things has been normalized.

Its mostly this. TKO and the parent company above them have been shitty for years like 99% of all corporations so people are just used to it. People can and do complain. Many just also expect no change. You also have plenty who don't live on the internet and never hear about any of this shit.

Hopefully Andrade and Ridge just sue. I think as much as people mention the current environment it is still more likely TKO/WWE settles for PR reasons or get fucked in court opposed to getting a ruling actually in their favor.

At least a loot of the workers are helping him out. A lot like when the JCP gave money to Magnum after his accident and Darsow had knee surgery.

So the Ridge situation sucks and firing him just short of his contract running out, even if it "only' costs him his last paycheck and not the non-compete, is a huge douche move.

That said... dude almost certainly made six figures this year as well as the prior couple (rumored main roster minimum is between $200-350k yearly), LOL @ starting a gofundme to cover being out of work for 4-6 months during a shutdown and with seemingly a different huge company announcing massive layoffs like every other day for people who largely were making a whole hell of a lot less than him. I guess a workers gonna work but that's pretty darn ridiculous.

I saw a list and wasn't sure to post about it since I've read a lot of random wrestling gossip tonight, but apparently Kyle Fletcher, Omos, Chelsea Green, Jinder Mahal, and Nick Jackson have all thrown in a grand apiece to his Gofundme.

I think I heard today that he took a pay cut in the recent past and didn’t get any extra pay for working TNA dates.

He made main roster money for 2-3 years but was likely getting NXT money when he got bumped back down. Even being on the higher end its likely a third of what he was making prior. Beyond that I think the talk of potential neck fusion surgery after his initial medical issues clear up is what might hit his wallet unless WWE is taking care of that as well.

Nick Jackson knows about hard times! I'm just shocked that he can come up with a grand even for such a good cause, when he can probably no longer heat his outdoor pool and has to worry the electricity being shut off at his house, apparently? Maybe they already accepted Don Callis' offer/subtle threat?

Maybe the proceeds came from those bootleg shirts they had pressed by the guy that sells the fake trap artist shirts out the back of his car when they have a flea market.

On the serious tip, I read something else that said Omos makes $20+K a year and Chelsea makes $40+K a year and they still scraped together a grand to send him.

How TF is Chelsea making less than I am and she's a dual champion currently?!?

You'd think that getting creamed on like that would have come with some sort of bonus, for example, but I guess that's just expected?

I hope I'm just misunderstanding you, but there's no way in hell Chelsea Green just makes $40k/year. Jasmyn Nix, who chose not to renew her contract, was making $75k on an NXT deal. Sapp says the base salary for Raw/Smackdown is $350k/year.

Remember Inamura from his NXT run? Now he is the GHC HW champion. He beat KENTA.

Its a good look for them winning tag gold in Japan. Still seems odd that it happened. Figured Inamura wouldn't win the first time around. Good for him.

It is Inamura first time winning any belt in NOAH.  He skipped over the tags and other singles belts. And hasn't won a tournament yet in NOAH or outside of NOAH.

He challenged for the GHC HW before in his old YOICHI gimmick against Kaito in 2024. Meanwhile Kitamiya still can't win the GHC HW after several tries, seems to be the same fate for M.Soya as time goes by.

FWIW as far as I am aware you don't get a downside paycut being moved down to NXT, it's often been said the past few years when people were released who were sent down to NXT that them making main roster money while working down there was a big reason why they were let go.

So it came out today that Ridge actually negotiated a sizable paycut to go down to NXT this past year to avoid being released outright, so I stand corrected.

Anyways it turns out he didn't even start the gofundme so he's having it closed and will donate the money raised from it when possible, so tip of the hat to him.
