Dolfan in NYC Posted November 3, 2025 Author Posted November 3, 2025 My fantasy team, the Fire Island Ferries, is glad that Brock Bowers decided he didn't suck with like 10 minutes left in the game.
hammerva Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Like the Commanders retro 80s jerseys if for nothing else it gives the "I will never be happy until they are called the Redskjns" whiners a couple hours to be quiet. Plus it looks great next to the Seahawks retros
dogwelder Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Well looks like I won't have to stay up late tonight to watch another Commanders loss
dogwelder Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Fuck Season's over at this point Hope this doesn't mean last year was a fluke
Cobra Commander Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 (edited) probably not great for the Chiefs if the Commanders are the 3rd best of the 5 wins the Chiefs have Edited November 3, 2025 by Cobra Commander

RIPPA Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Well it’s gonna be a whole day of people yelling about Daniels still being in the game
RIPPA Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Schefter is saying it’s a dislocated elbow for Jayden Daniels
dogwelder Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Went to bed when it was 28-0 so I'm just finding out now about Daniels' injury. The franchise really seems snake-bitten at times. At least it wasn't November 18th... And now there's going to be more "JD5 = RG3" comparisons. Hopefully Daniels will be ready and fully recovered for training camp next year. Between this and what looks like age finally catching up to OV it's going to be a long winter for DC sports fans. So...go Les Boulez?
hammerva Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 (edited) So far the biggest difference between Daniels and RG3 is the most important one. His attitude. If he comes back from this injury and tries to change his style to be safer then yeah the allegations might continue. Although most of the changes that RG3 wanted in his playing style were less about staying healthy and more of his ego (and his parents in his ear) thinking he could be a "traditional pocket QB". Which wasn't happening. Also helps that Daniels doesn't have a Kirk Cousins. Mariotta is fine but nobody thinks he is starting QB level. Although the most Washington thing ever would be them drafting a QB in the first 3 rounds next year Edited November 3, 2025 by hammerva
RIPPA Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 People love to trade with the Eagles and then wonder why Philly keeps winning 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted November 3, 2025 Author Posted November 3, 2025 Reading between the lines, part of the reason why Grier was let go in Miami was because he was obstinate about trading away pieces this season. (and possibly because he wanted to fire McDaniel) Now that he's gone, you hear those rumors that basically everyone is available -- with the possible exceptions of Achane and Waddle, who are untouchable unless an exorbitant price is met. Jaelen going is sad, but necessary. So... to wit...
Dolfan in NYC Posted November 3, 2025 Author Posted November 3, 2025 Two things: 1) Miami is off-setting some of the Phillips' salary in exchange for a higher pick. 2) Parallel's between RG3 & Jayden's injury are that, they happened: a) On the same side of the stadium b) Against the same team c) On the same yard line!
RIPPA Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Also for Washington - Luke McCaffrey broke his collarbone and reportedly Marshon Lattimore tore his ACL So yeah - the football gods reverted dramatically this year after that team had no injuries last season

twiztor Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 was at Buffalo Wild Wings yesterday so caught the last bit of the Bears game. When i walked in the Bears were up 41-20something. Looked to have it in the bag. until the Bengals kept inching the score up. crowd was LIVELY. When the Bengals went up 42-41 with 50 seconds or whatever left, i thought there was going to be a riot. When the Bears took the lead back, the restaurant ERUPTED. you would have thought they just brought Ditka out of retirement and da Bears won the NFC Championship. Instead they're now 5-3. But it was infectious and i loved being there to experience it. 2
