Hey, we've another WrestleDream in the books! What happened? Well, all of this! (So... we're all in agreement right? Sting randomly wandered in and found Toni's makeup, right?) Well I was just gettin' ready to get my hat, when she caught my eye and I put it back, and I ordered myself a couple o' more shots and beers... Meanwhile, backstage in St. Louis... the losers consoled each other. The night that I fell in love with a Roller Derby Queen! The meanest hunk o' woman that anybody ever seen down in the arena! That was then, this is now! Dynamite on Wednesday featuring Kaz Okada murdering that goof Bandido for 20 minutes! yay! (Just based on all that up there... I'm guessing Toni & Mina are mortal locks for an appearance at the tournament finals at Full Gear. We shall see!) (Between this, "Fat Bottomed Girls", and "Lola" the 1970's was a banner decade for songs about big girls. ) Enjoy the week! 1

TayJay Megan/Penelope Skye/Julia Toni/Mina Athena/Billie Willow/Harley Jamie/Aminata That's 7 very realistic teams just from the regulars, and they could easily keep it all in house with Mercedes snatching up a partner to go for belt number 30 or whatever. 2

Note: they could also run this angle after she loses all 12 and is desperate to get her numbers back up. Craig H Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 BTW, it would be so dumb and out there, but Mercedes is almost doing an angle I had envisioned for Brock or Roman. Essentially, one of those guys goes through the entire promotion collecting every title. Basically like Thanos. The purpose is that Heyman knew there was a completely unknown rule, not unlike the unitary executive theory, that said if any one wrestler held every title in the company then they would hold complete control over the promotion. At that point, matches with Brock would become more like Hulk fighting on Sakaar - just prey for Brock to hunt because while he would have control over the promotion, he wouldn't have control over things like contracts. He could pick and choose who could fight and when though, like a booker. It would take someone who could outsmart both Brock and Heyman to get Brock to put one of his titles on the line. They would really have to take advantage of Brock's hubris and it would need to be someone who made it personal with Brock, something no wrestler had done. Brock eventually drops one of the lower titles, but it's the first chink in the armor, and that wrestler starts chipping away at Brock more and more now that he didn't have complete control. So, I don't know, if they don't have anything better for Mercedes to do, have her do that. Holding all the titles makes her the queen of the ring and she chooses what to do when she wants to do it. Then you have to build up a new star. Mind you, this entire is completely fucking stupid and in no way should it ever happen. I'm just bored and tired. 3

Full credit for a truly out there bit of wrestling fanfic (I enjoyed it), I just like the notion of someone like Brock gathering every single title and becoming a truly company spanning despot and the first notable job he does is for like the 24/7 title 1

Casey Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 I think the story with Mercedes is a lot more simple than people are making it out to be: there's one title she can't seem to obtain (the AEW World Women's Championship). This will be her second try at it, and I have to imagine they aren't gonna have Statlander drop it so soon, especially since we've been waiting for this for five years. If it was me, I'd have their match be explictly for the TBS & World Women's titles, winner takes all. Statlander wins, fufills the prediction she made on Renee's show of being the first woman to hold the TBS & World titles at the same time. Or just for the World title, and she loses that match. Defends the TBS title in December, and loses to.... I don't know, Willow or whoever. That's the first shoe to drop for Mercedes. Maybe she goes on to win a few more titles on the indies, but 2026 would be her dropping all of the titles that she can defend (IE not the Owen) and she comes back to AEW a broken woman, 0 Belts Moné. Work in a face turn after that or something, I don't know. Maybe by that time a heel has beaten Stat for the World title, and Mercedes can be a babyface and unseat the champ finally. 4
HarryArchieGus Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Still catching up with the marathon ppv, Hurt Syndicate-Demand certainly exceeded expectations. What felt like a tv match going in felt worthy of the additional ppv spotlight going out. Hurts did a great job with Kuan/Toa - helping absolve them from their deflating tag title run. Shelton Benjamin continues to look completely fantastic and the greatest modern day redemption story. Bump machine Ric continues to make everybody he faces look great. Fun match. Looking forward to the Trios title match vs the Opps tonight. 1

I hate that anymore I sleep at some point in the second half of the show and either try and force myself awake or just accept I'll need to catch whatever the next day. It's not their fault as it happens other nights but whatever. I caught most of the main and that had one helluva finishing stretch. I liked how they did the Mercedes celebration. It had the usual payoff with the cake but the way they went there was different and just a really enjoyable segment. Bonus points for Queen and Hayter having such a wonderfully simple tag finish that just fucking works. For that alone I'd love to see them win it all. It is kind of annoying it already feel obvious the finals will be Mone/Athena vs. Storm/Mina. I can't even say I am rooting for either team to win as I'd rather it be anybody else. And this is me saying this as a fan of all four women. 3

My long shot prediction is that TayJay make it to the finals and win it by Bayne/Ford messing up the interference on the Mina/Toni vs TayJay semis, and then Toni/Mina prevent the interference of the finals of Mone/Athena vs TayJay. Which leads to Mone going against Athena for the ROH Women's title/Athena for the TBS. 2

The rhythm of the video doesn't quite match the music, Ishii absolutely needs to go last if they're billing him "Tomohiro Ishii as Big Tom," things like that. The song is pleasantly cheesy and generic, they just need to workshop the video a little to tighten it up. 1

stuntmanc Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 I second the love for Hayer/Aminatas finish. Simple and effective. It does feel like they're telegraphing Mone/Athena v Toni/Mina as the final, but i'd really like to see pretty much any other team in this win it, since it should be a showcase for other women while those four are in high profile spots on the womans roster already. Takeshita v Okada is going to be amazing and I can't, can't wait for it. Bandido really is having one of the best years of any wrestler active this year and it's great. Looking forward as well to seeing Jurassic Express v Brodido at some point. Can already hear the Meat shouts at Luchasaurus/Brody King. Joe's explanation for his heel turn was just perfect. Great dynamite. 3
