hammerva Posted February 2 Posted February 2 The area around the rink in this Stadium Series at Tampa is just strange. I thought it was something tied to a skate park but I dont know. Maybe it is supposed to be hockey on a damaged pirate ship?

Dolfan in NYC Posted February 4 Posted February 4 The bread will be baked in Los Angeles... Artemi Panarin goes to the Kings for Liam Greentree and a conditional 3. He also signed an extension for 2 years at $11m AAV.

RIPPA Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 Per the full story - the Rangers are also getting a conditional 4th They are also retaining 50% of his salary Since he had a No Movement clause - apparently Panarin wanted to play for LA so that's why this happened as opposed to some of the better reported deals (Florida was his top choice but the Panthers couldn't make the salary work) Details on the pick conditions Quote The Rangers announced last month that they were entering a retool after their disappointing first half of the season. The same day, general manager Chris Drury met with Panarin and told him the team would not be extending a new contract when the 34-year-old becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. In that conversation, Drury told the star winger they would work with him and his agent to facilitate a deal to a preferred destination.

Dolfan in NYC Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Florida appears to be selling on this trade season... Though Tarasov could be moved as well... it looks like Bobrovsky is gonna get dealt. (I mean, I get it, but still... )

Although it's amazing to get a first round pick out of Carlson's aging carcass.
Dolfan in NYC Posted March 6 Posted March 6 The Rangers beat Toronto yesterday 6-2 at MSG. It's their first home victory since the Monday before Thanksgiving.
elizium Posted March 7 Posted March 7 I'm not sure that the Sabres gambit of trading for a bunch of 2025-26 Winnipeg Jets players is really going to work out for them. Sad to see Stanley go, but he's having a career year and was going to demand a top 4 contract while being the 5th best defenceman on the Jets. Tall guys take longer to develop but there's nothing about him that screams future Chara or Byfuglien. And Schenn is a pylon that gets penalties at this point of his career. Getting an interesting prospect and a high pick is a solid haul. Also they took Tanner Pearson for some reason. Too bad they couldn't convince them to also take Nyquist 1

Getting an interesting prospect and a high pick is a solid haul. Also they took Tanner Pearson for some reason. Too bad they couldn't convince them to also take Nyquist 80% of our roster has never played in an NHL playoff game so we basically got some depth guys who have some who can compete for the 6/7 spot currently held by Metsa, who's lack of size might be an issue in the playoffs (Schenn in particular will likely be a black ace). Carrick was our key move, tough gritty bottom 6 guy and a face off specialist (which we desperately need). Rosen is an interesting prospect who simply lost out in the numbers game and was almost out of options so had to be moved (Devon Levi is in the same boat). He's been great in Rochester (and the poor Amerks are totally screwed at this point) and could end up a pretty good/useful NHL player. Bryson is a good guy but really a classic Quadruple A player. I wish both of them well. Honestly right now I can't believe that I'm having to save money to get Sabres playoff tickets, the first game at KBC alone will likely cause a nationwide beer shortage.
elizium Posted March 8 Posted March 8 It would be nice if teams used these in games. The Jets have had some really nice Indigenous Heritage jerseys that they've worn for warmups but it would be great to see them in games 1
