Tabe Posted November 5, 2025 Posted November 5, 2025 That's the third - at least - awarded goal scored with the net dislodged in the last week. Crazy.
hammerva Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 (edited) Ovi with goal #900 last night against the Blues. Now the question is whether he will try for 950. Was a really funny moment when the goalie Bennington tried to put the 900 goal down his pants. The official either caught him or asked if he had the puck and reluctantly gave it up Edited November 6, 2025 by hammerva
sabremike Posted November 7, 2025 Posted November 7, 2025 This is in response to the announcement today that Rasmus is taking a leave of absence to be with Carolina, who is in Sweden recovering from a heart transplant.
Dolfan in NYC Posted November 10, 2025 Posted November 10, 2025 Put some skates on her. Couldn't be any worse than what they're putting out there.
Dolfan in NYC Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 I disagree... he may be back for the damned Olympics at this rate. 1
sabremike Posted November 16, 2025 Posted November 16, 2025 FUCK KEVYN ADAMS AND THAT FUCKING MORON TERRY PEGULA.
Dolfan in NYC Posted November 19, 2025 Posted November 19, 2025 Macklin Celebrini appears to be good at hockey. His hat trick last night gives him 30 points thru 20 games. He's the 4th teenager in NHL history to do that. The others, Mario Lemieux, Sidney Crosby, and Wayne Gretzky. 1
Troubles Posted November 26, 2025 Posted November 26, 2025 I got tickets for the Vegas and Nashville game on New Year's Eve. First NHL game and I'm stoked, then I see Vegas get thrashed by Utah the other night. Either way, hockey is the coolest sport there is! 3
Troubles Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 God, I love hockey for the grit that's still there and not ruled out thanks to fancy sponsors. However, my Panthers are pissing me the fuck off!
RIPPA Posted December 19, 2025 Author Posted December 19, 2025 Tyler Seguin had surgery on the ACL in his right knee He will be reevaluated after the Olympics to determine how long he will be out
RIPPA Posted December 22, 2025 Author Posted December 22, 2025 Sidney Crosby has become the Pens all time leading scorer passing Mario Lemieux Crosby has 1,724 points in 1,387 games (645 goals, 1079 assists) He also passed Mario to 8th on the NHL's all time scorer list He is also now the 9th active player to lead a franchise in points

He's done everything and then some. I'll forever be bitter at him for 2009 but, man, he's lived up to the pre-draft hype more than any #1 since Mario (McDavid needs some Cups to get there). Getting an absolute shitshow of an organization like Edmonton to back to back finals is honestly as impressive as any of Sid's cup wins. If the Oilers don't get McDavid they are a total basket case like the Pegula Sabres (who in a festivus miracle have now begun to act like an actual NHL organization).
sabremike Posted December 23, 2025 Posted December 23, 2025 I will also say something that sounds weird: Crosby is the most criminally underrated generational talent in any sport I have ever seen. So many people simply don't want to give him his due. I think I said this before but years back I was at a Pens-Isles game and decided to focus on Crosby any time he was on the ice and one thing stood out: He was always in the right position like he knew where the play was going to go. One of the smartest players I have ever seen.

So many people simply don't want to give him his due. Part of it is just backlash from the hype. But part of it also is that Sid was a whiny little turd for the first several years of his career. Complained a lot, would do dirty stuff to start trouble, etc. But you're right about him being underrated. 1
Pete Posted December 24, 2025 Posted December 24, 2025 Wishing everyone a blessed Shoe Game anniversary.
Dolfan in NYC Posted December 29, 2025 Posted December 29, 2025 Btw, every team in the East is currently above .500 this weekend. Also, some news:
Dolfan in NYC Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Roof closed for tonight, unfortunately. That said, I've seen a lot, lot, LOT of unhappiness on X, The Everything App and r/hockey that this game isn't being played in Yellowknife under blizzard conditions with only English-speaking people being allowed in the stadium and/or to watch on TV. Christ. El infierno son los otros.
