The Browns have traded Joe Flacco to the Bengals in what will be a pick swap

EDIT - it is the first trade between the two teams since the Browns returned in 1999

The Browns got screwed.  Just joking.  Flacco is 100% cooked.  They traded a quarterback and a 6th round pick for a 5th round pick.  That's like selling your car with half a tank of gas for the price of a full tank of gas to your next door neighbor who's always asking you for a ride.

The Titans have waived Treylon Burks

That is the same Treylon Burks they drafted immediately after trading AJ Brown

The Cardinals have fined head coach Jonathan Gannon $100,000 for swatting running back Emari Demercado on tyre sideline after he dropped a touchdown short of the goal line. Well-deserved. I probably would have fired him but a big fine is OK.

It is wild that about 2 months ago we were laughing and joking about how the Browns had I think 6 QB in their roster.  Now I think they only have 2 of them they can actually use and they are both rookies

EDIT:  I just looked and completely forgot that the Browns signed Bailey Zappe  😁

Of note... the NFL's statement said Jones "accidentally" flashed the finger to a fan.  😶

I have been of an opinion that they should have played Flacco for a couple of games just to see if they could compete.  Once it was proven that they can't compete it should have been trying to see if the rookies are good enough to be the QB of the future.  They have a boatload of picks next year and can get out of the Watson contract after next season.  This is a very obvious rebuild that should be about getting young cheap talent in preparation of 2027.  Trading Flacco at this point should have been part of the plan to begin with.  It honestly doesn't matter if any of the current quarterbacks are good.  There were both late draft picks who cost next to nothing to jettison if they're not good.  Their rookie class outside of the two quarterbacks seems to be outstanding, the focus for the entire franchise should be starting a youth movement.  Not only that, but Denzel Ward, David Njoku, or anyone else who is either going to be expensive and/or old come 2027 should be traded for as many draft picks as possible.

Jerruh could shake 250,000 out of his couch.

I would laugh if this winds up being like the RVD/Randy Orton thing where they paid their fines for smoking weed in advance and just kept on doing it. Jerry pays $500,000 now and enjoys flipping off another fan in a few weeks.

The Jaguars and Browns swapped cornerbacks Tyson Campbell and Greg Newsome, along with draft picks, in a Wednesday night trade.

The Jaguars sent Campbell and a 2026 seventh-round draft pick they previously acquired from the Eagles to the Browns for Newsome and a 2026 sixth-round selection they had acquired from the Jets.

The Browns selected Newsome, 25, with the 26th pick in the 2021 NFL draft. He is playing 2025 on a fifth-year option, which is paying him $13.38 million, and is scheduled to become a free agent after the season.

Newsome spent his rookie season as an outside cornerback but moved to the nickel after Cleveland drafted Martin Emerson Jr. in 2022. Newsome struggled last season, but Emerson's season-ending Achilles injury in training camp opened the door for him to return outside, where he has expressed more comfort.

In five games this season, Newsome recorded 23 tackles and five pass breakups.

The Jaguars selected Campbell with the 33rd pick in 2021. He signed a four-year, $76.5 million contract extension, with $53.4 million guaranteed, just before the start of the 2024 training camp. He had six pass breakups and a forced fumble to go along with 34 tackles in five games this season.

The 25-year-old Campbell had his best season in 2022, when he intercepted three passes, forced one fumble and recovered two others and broke up 15 passes to help the Jaguars win the AFC South.

He was limited to 11 games because of a hamstring injury in 2023, when he had just one interception and five pass breakups. He missed five games with a hamstring injury and dealt with shoulder and thigh injuries later in 2024, when he broke up six passes to go along with 59 tackles but didn't have an interception.

The trade came up while the Jaguars were having preliminary conversations with teams across the league about needs ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline. The Browns had already had preliminary discussions with Newsome about an extension and the Jaguars saw an opportunity to add a player they believed was a better fit in defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile's scheme.

Shedding Campbell's future contract was a plus, as well, and the sides agreed to the deal late Wednesday. The Jaguars already paid Campbell's $12.4 million option bonus this season and will not assume any future money owed Campbell.

The Jaguars have not had any discussions with Newsome or his agent regarding a contract extension, but emphasized this trade was not a rental.

The Giants are up 13-3 just like everyone expected

Edit - well the Giants are using the fucking punter as kicker again so of course they missed the extra point

I just saw the JaguarGator9 video about the game where the Vikings didn't have their punter and used their QB and kicker to try punting, before losing because of a blocked punt (JG9 videos are... a bit padded for the sake of YouTube money, but JG9 was essentially "Bryan Alvarez on TNA" talking about how dumb that decision was)

guessing the tush push not averaging 2.5ypc is what spares us from a team just running the tush push on every play

never should've decriminalized pushing the runner forward.

The Tush Push is the league's deserved punishment for letting this shit slide for 20 years.

The Eagles' will be lucky to win another 3 games this season with their terrible OC and full of holes D so everyone can relax about the push.

Man you almost have to feel sorry for Russell Wilson.  Throws one bad pass and the entire crowd is booing the hell out of him and Daboll is screaming at the team doctor to do anything to get Dart in the game.

Not at all especially when he is still the backup ahead of this man

I presume a Manhattan deli will create a Skattebo sandwich with 8-9 kinds of meat with mustard on rye.

Spoiler

The “Skatteburger” sells for $16.95 and features a burger with Pico de Gallo, roasted jalapeno, bacon, chipotle aioli, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, and Tajin avocado.

Oh lord.  NYC can do much better than that.
