In what will probably be the first in many announcements like this - Auburn is moving their game next season against Baylor to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta for "NIL benefits)

Auburn is moving its 2026 home game with Baylor to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta as part of an arrangement with the Aflac Kickoff Game to provide NIL opportunities for Auburn players, a first in college football for neutral-site games.

The Peach Bowl, in coordination with the Aflac game, will provide opportunities for promotional appearances for Auburn players promoting ticket sales and ancillary events.

Deion Sanders had a medical procedure today (though it wasn't specifically said - it seems to be around Deion's recurrence of blood clots)

He hopes to be ready to be at practice tomorrow and that he plans to coach this weekend but that is still up in the air

Deion deserves credit for continuing to coach through all of this.  Since he's started coaching he has literally had multiple body parts removed.  I don't think anyone would blame him for finding the nearest rocking chair.

The *checks notes* Athletic (??) has apparently never covered college football before:

Take this for what it is worth. And this is a part of a larger thread that implies that Belichick and staff have committed numerous recruiting violations too

I can see a soft landing in media happening but a soft landing with another team is highly delusional unless you are willing to go to a lower level school in the Jacksonville State level or a complete Patriots mark

I mean, any port in a storm, you know?

I guarantee you the producers of the Hulu doc are Patriots marks because if it's going as bad as we're seeing...  I mean that's an Emmy by default

That got cancelled today too

Well the rumors got so loud that both the University and Belichick put out terse one line statements saying they were committed to each other

This is a wild take.  If you look at the top recruits every year and look at their college careers, this is nowhere close to the first flop.  For instance, Alabama recrutied the #3 QB in the country in 2015, his name was Blake Barnett.  He played 3 games for Alabama, transferred to Arizona State, played 3 games for them and ended up at South Florida.  He was ranked higher than Kyler Murray, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow.  Arch Manning isn't even really a failure yet, he has two more years of eligibility.

Y'all need to look at the author before you take that article seriously (as in to give it any worth)

The Illini are shooting themselves in the foot plenty with mistakes, but I just saw the third play where an Ohio St DB had two handfuls of an Illinois receiver’s jersey directly in front of a ref with no call.

I know I have said this before but it is really fucking weird seeing Rippa in a headline

https://www.espn.com/college-football/recap?gameId=401757279

this being College Football, there's 15 kickers in FBS who have made 2 or more 50+ yard field goals, which includes Garrison Rippa, and nobody has made more than 3 50+ yard field goals so far this year

https://www.espn.com/college-football/stats/player/_/view/special/stat/kicking/table/kicking/sort/fieldGoalsMade50/dir/desc

then you have a Louisville kicker who had only attempted 3 field goals, all 50+ yards

Of course there's only 32 kicker jobs in the NFL and a limited amount of turnover of kickers leaving the league

not to mention that some kickers who can kick long field goals are gonna be called upon to kick a lot of long field goals and they'll miss some of them.. and CFB extra point % stats are only there for thinning the herd of guys who absolutely can't make NFL XPs since they run it from different distances

one would think that if college kickers improve enough, they'll run a bunch of the replacement level NFL kickers out of the league

But then you get somebody like Jake Moody who was great in college and suddenly in his second or third NFL season he couldn't kick anymore.

every 49er fan turned on him the instant he was drafted and basically prayed for him to cost the team a super bowl until their wish was finally granted and he got the yips after returning way too soon from an injury because their special teams suck so bad their kickers keep having to make tackles

Hoo-hoo, Hoosiers!!  0-46 on the road vs. Top 5 opponents coming into this one.  A couple of questionable/bad calls in the first half, one of which gave Oregon a short field for their first touchdown, but that top 10 defense came up big in the 2nd half giving up only a field goal while forcing two punts and coming up with two interceptions.  What a win.
