I see luchablog questioning him, because WWE never suspended him at any time during this last run. The Meltzer clarifies that the “multiple” violations was one from before 2021 in his first WWE run, and the second was fairly recently. But if it happened recently, why wasn’t he suspended when it happened? Luchablog asks the same thing, and theorizes that WWE is collecting these violations, not reporting them and issuing suspensions, but instead using them as excuses when they want to get rid of someone or leak it after the fact to paint these people in a negative light once they’re gone.

Then Meltzer says Andrade agreed to handshake extension with AEW or something in 2023 and left anyway, even when everyone knew he was leaving? I’ve never heard that until now.

Mike Johnson at PWInsider also reported that Andrade had "multiple wellness violations" in WWE in the last year. Take it for what it's worth.

Meltzer is pissed about Andrade and doesn't like Andrade and thinks it's a waste of money. According to Meltzer people who know Andrade told him that Andrade will always view Tony Khan as secondary to WWE. Meltzer thinks AEW bringing and trying to push WWE guys is a waste of money because he doesn't believe WWE guys who were fired by WWE can become successful in AEW, believing that Rusev is the most ill-spent money ever in AEW because he refused to do business and refuse to lose to guys in AEW who are twice as good as Dominik Mysterio, per Dave Meltzer.

Even though Swerve Strickland became a huge star and attraction in AEW and a world champion.

But speaking of shoulders - Bandido dislocated his last night during a match with Hechicero for CMLL.

It definitely feels like Meltzer has outlasted all of his good contacts in the WWE, never had any particularly good ones in AEW, and that the ones he does have are leaking to him strategically.

At least Woj had the good sense to go pretend to run a basketball team when it happened to him.

I don't at all mean any blame to Charlotte Flair, but I sense some awkwardness (with a top star) in the workplace led to Andrade's quick firing. The 'agreeing to a handshake extension' story was reported on by Dave and other sources during that time. I assume that's the main reason why he and the haters see El Idolo as disloyal and problematic. I suspect Andrade's biggest reason for returning to WWE was to work closer with his then wife. And to perhaps help workout whatever problems were plauging their marriage. And why Tony was so accepting of it at the time.

Andrade has clapped back at Meltzer's report that he made a verbal agreement with Tony Khan that he was re-upping with AEW in 2023 before jumping back to WWE.

So many online reviewers who I assume get read (and somwhat believed) review Collision and complain about it being not newsworthy or 'just' a set-up for Dynamite, and 'filler'. This is what a B show is. And 'filler' is the kind of ignorant comment one makes when they can't see how talented this undercard roster is. I'll take it over any list of top 'Superstars'. It's foolish to go into a Collision expecting AEW to throw out their biggest matches/angles on a show being viewed by a portion of the audience. That said, they often enough have news-y items eg. the Toni/Stat stuff this week. It would benefit AEW to provide recap videos of this show more frequently on the 'A'. I also wonder if it wouldn't benefit them to bring back the Control Center on Mondays or Tuesdays with longer highlight packages from the week that was for those who missed it.

I wish Dave would bow out of this one. I know that's not what he does but it's not a good look and just gives the weirdos more ammunition. 

Agreed on people seeming to not get the purpose of Collision.  I would love a recap video or something because I definitely don't always watch on Saturday.

The Meltzer/Andrade stuff drives me crazy because 1) Andrade DID go out on his back - he lost his last three matches (and I’m pretty sure everyone thought Miro, his final match, was staying and this was the start of a push) and 2) Andrade losing to Kingston in one of his last matches was crucial to Eddie because it allowed him to advance and eventually win the Continental Classic and elevate him up the card just a little bit more.

Dave's picking a fight for his source. Who evidently isn't happy about the return of El Idolo. Yeah, this feels like Dave's lost a screw. He's not necessarily wrong, but it makes him look like an arsehole.

He’s also cherry picking his complaint because the rest of that tweet specifies he’s talking about the last four weeks of his time in AEW but only mentions his wins (early in the month) and not the loses he took on his way out the door IE his final two weeks/final three matches.

I’ve never been one to rail against Dave but this is the first time I can remember actively disagreeing with him about something. And I’m not even a huge Andrade guy.

Twitter is the worst thing to happen to Dave. He maintains that business is up with it but it's cost him his reputation in the eyes of many. It's sad to see.

It's even worse if you listen to him on WOR. There has been a noticeable decline in his ability to reason or understand an alternate point of view. Bryan is the only one there that pushes back against him. Garrett is basically a yes man for Dave and there is no way Dave is jumping on a podcast with Vinny or Tom. The only other person he would do a show with is Lance and I'm not sure how much Lance could take it.

I think the most aggravating thing from this week, other than the Andrade stuff, is him just completely failing on two podcasts and the newsletter to adequately explain the change in Nielsen's ratings methodology. It's a real thing that is happening. I want to say I even read about it on Nielsen's website and the change was effective as of late September. But Dave can't even begin to articulate what it all means, what the change was, etc.
