I went with Page because I like him and Ospreay is overrated imo. Hangman Adam Page beat Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at All In 2025 ending his reign of terror. With hindsight, the right decision was made because Ospreay would have vacated the AEW World Championship after only a month for the neck surgery he went on to have. Edited October 1 by The Natural 1

tbarrie Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Huh. Odd that I failed to notice Superman's absence. Supes is kind of a big deal at DC. I'm genuinely curious how this story is going to work, though. Are they going to give the AEW characters fantastic abilities to make them relevant next to superheroes? Or are they just going to figure, hey, if we can pretend Batman and Nightwing are useful when Wonder Woman, Zatanna, and multiple Green Lanterns are around, we can do the same for a bunch of wrestlers?

He would need a refresh of some sort, maybe in WWE maybe AEW, maybe somewhere else, but he needs a total revamp. 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted October 2 Author Posted October 2 If they do a revamp of him, it's now or never. He's out until the new year, I believe, and will almost certainly come back as a face. Have him come back, murder Grayson Waller, have a good run at the Rumble, let him have a solid midcard feud, and push him to the upper card by the summer. Going to Jacksonville also makes 100% sense because he gets infinite new feuds, wouldn't be stuck as a face, and has better fit to a higher work rate style. 2

I was thinking my slander of Batman might get a reaction from The Natural, but I didn't realize we had a big Nightwing fan on the board as well. And yeah, using "pretend" was unnecessarily contentious. Some creative teams have managed to convincingly portray the highly-skilled normal heroes as usefully contributing even alongside godlike beings. (Others not so much.)

(Others not so much.) all in good fun brother. i think i used to have a Nightwing avatar on here maybe? If so, it would have been a long ass time ago. I've used this Guitar Hero character for quite awhile, maybe it's time to switch it up again. i think it can be important to have a non-powered hero alongside the literal and figurative gods, just to keep perspective. Of course, that goes out the window with Batman since he's the best at everything of course and can take down armies and gods without breaking a sweat (with the all important "prep time", naturally [no pun intended]). I enjoy Batman, but his prominence at DC really means he gets shoehorned into everything, and since he's there he has to play a pivotal role, regardless of whether that makes sense or not. 1
