Since there are only 3 games today - all the start times are pushed back

Tigers at Guardians - 3 PM EST (ABC)

Padres at Cubs - 5 PM EST (ESPN)

Red Sox at Yankees - 8 PM EST (ESPN)

Also as a reminder - with this current format (which has "only" been around since 2022), no team that lost Game 1 has won the series

$20 says Cleveland changes that today against Detroit.

The Tigers advance

Meanwhile the Padres decided to use every starter they have and it’s not yielding great results at the moment

Well unless they blow a 6-1 lead - the Tigers are advancing

I don't like being wrong - except in cases like this. Survive and advance, baby!

Despite a certain pitcher trying to kill my vibe in the 9th, I had a great evening.

Jesus fucking Christ. I think I've finally calmed down after that Cubs win. Despite their best efforts in the 9th inning, they held on. Another one of those, "I've seen this story before" things, only to thankfully be wrong.

i was at the sports bar yesterday evening, just for the food, while the Cubs game was on. the place was losing their shit on damn near every play, even early in the game. I left around the 5th/6th inning maybe? the Cubs were up 2-0. i can only imagine how animated it was during the 9th.

And it should be a bunch of energized crowds for the Cubs/Brewers series. lots of Chicago fans are willing to travel to "Wrigley North" even during the regular season.

Not if the Brewers themselves can help it.

In an email sent to season ticket holders in September regarding an exclusive presale for wild-card or NLDS tickets, the Brewers informed fans in bold lettering that “Postseason tickets purchased through this offer should not be resold.”

Doing so comes at a price, the Brewers are saying.

“Violations of this policy will forfeit your opportunity to participate in future presales for the 2025 Postseason and 2026 season," the email continues.

While multiple season ticket holders told the Journal Sentinel they do not remember similar language being included in past playoff ticket emails from the team, a source with the Brewers said this is a standard rule every postseason.

Nevertheless, this may be one of the hottest playoff series ever just for the crowds. By hook or by crook, Wrigley North will be a thing.

Very excited about this week's library volunteer shift ending at 12:30 PM CST.

I'm feeling good about the Cubs chances of beating the Brewers. Not that it means much, but the Cubs were 7-6 against the Brewers this year and even though the Cubs offense is, well, whatever it is, the Brewers aren't a god level team anymore and injuries and regression have brought them back down to Earth.

At this point, as long as the Cubs knock the Brewers out, I'll be perfectly happy. Everything else is a ton of icing on the cake.

This is similar to how Premier League teams penalize season ticket holders if they resell their tickets or don’t attend enough games.

So much fun for a game to be over in the first inning. And now through only second innings the Brewers will score more than the Wisconsin Badgers today.
