Dolfan in NYC Posted September 29 Posted September 29 So... WHO YA GOT? Games start tomorrow with Detroit/Cleveland at 1pm.
NikoBaltimore Posted September 29 Posted September 29 My preferred scenario would be Blue Jays/Phillies in the World Series even if I think it'll the Yankees in that spot instead.
Hamhock Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Phillies win it all; Kyle Schwarber hits 15 home runs in the postseason and then they announce his contract extension at the parade.
odessasteps Posted September 29 Posted September 29 In my MLB the Show deal, I picked the NL and the winner of Dodgers/Reds, since thats hiw the WC choices were listed. I'd love a SD/Toronto series so we could see clips of Alomar, Fernandez McGriff and Carter.
onelegbrynn Posted September 29 Posted September 29 As much as would love to see the Reds get past the Dodgers and not have a first round exit, I don't think that will be the case. Dodgers are pretty banged up but they completely OWNED the Reds during the season. I think the Reds will at least force it to three games. Crazier things have happened though and if the Reds to somehow get past the Dodgers, they'll run into the Phillies which may not be an easy task. Cleveland will probably get to the ALDS against Seattle and that will be barnburner of a series that I think will go all five games. Seattle will ultimately advance though. ALCS prediction Seattle over Toronto NLCS prediction Milwaukee over Philadelphia World Series Milwaukee over Seattle Knowing my track record of predictions though, I'm probably way off an we'll probably get Dodgers vs. Red Sox or some such nonsense.
odessasteps Posted September 29 Posted September 29 I'd love to see Sea/SD since there are/were Spring Tarining partners the last time I went admittedly 15 years ago. Plus, neither have won a WS yet.

odessasteps Posted September 29 Posted September 29 I mean, 2001 was all set up for them and Ichiro to maybe have the best forst year season in history. But 9/11 and the Yankees changed that.
RIPPA Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Who knows if they will actually win this game or not but that was pretty much the reason they signed Max Fried

SirFozzie Posted October 1 Posted October 1 if the Yankees don't come back and win the next two and Boone doesn't get fired, the fans might actually storm the Yankees FO with pitchforks and torches.
Nice Guy Eddie Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I'd be shocked if Boone gets fired in the offseason. Hal isn't George. As long as the seats stay filled, I really don't think Hal cares about winning.

No, he referred to Carlos Navarez and Garrett Whitlock as Yankee farmhands while another Yankee farmhand, Austin Wells was at bat. Edited October 2 by Nice Guy Eddie 1

Whitlock looks like the guy that batted after you intentionally walked Thurman Munson. 2
