All In the PPV card portion went 5 hours and 50 minutes. Wrestlepalooza starts 7pm ET, midnight UK time. I think All Out eats into Wrestlepalooza's first hour, maybe an hour and a half.
(BP) Posted September 16 Posted September 16 It’d be a treat for this to tank and have a lasting psychological impact on the wretched Brooks family. Weak body, weak mind.
Cliff Hanger Posted September 17 Posted September 17 What the absolute fuck, the Bron-Bron vs Usos match will be sponsored by a company that makes fake technology to protect you from 5G with their "blockers" on the posts. I was thinking about setting up a VPN to see SKY/Vaquer but now I'm thinking that if I want more wrestling after All Out I'll find something on IWTV instead. 3
dogwelder Posted September 17 Posted September 17 It's all to prevent the dreaded 7G from happening and altering the world... (I will safely predict only one or two will get the reference without looking it up)

Paul Heyman is going to slip Bronson Reed a 5G enabled phone while the ref is turned, so he can use it on an Uso. They fight over it, Bron Breaker will go for a spear and run into the phone and get knocked out by the power of 5G. 10
odessasteps Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I was thinking the other day how funny it would be to have someone in the NDA (Paul or other) use the new slim iPhone as a foreign object and the person no sell it because of how thin it is.

Jesus, I thought you were exaggerating: It rules how COVID just fucking broke everyone's brains. I cannot wait for this match to be mentioned in the class action fraud lawsuit. 2
Hamhock Posted September 18 Posted September 18 It would be funnier if it inadvertently worked to block communication to the referee’s earpiece, so they have to keep rolling out of the ring to hear instructions from the back and then roll back in to relay it to the participants. 1
Phantom Lord Posted September 18 Posted September 18 They missed an opportunity to have this in a hell in a cell and rebrand it as a faraday cage for the match. 3 2
hammerva Posted September 19 Posted September 19 (edited) What a great idea given that All Out won't even be in the main event spot by then. I know I feel like a really old man saying but I am still not sure if my ESPN on Roku is set to watch this. No idea what ESPN Limited is. I have ESPN+ subscription Hopefully it has replays like Peacock and most of ESPN already has EDIT: So I would need another plan to get this PPV. Oh well I wasn't really going to watch this live cause football. Hope these WWE PPV will be like UFC PPV where the replay is available a week or so later Edited September 20 by hammerva
blitzkrieg Posted September 21 Posted September 21 (edited) Ended up contributing to the viewership in the UK for this one... Opening match was a slightly older, less brutal version of the Summer Slam match. Camera men did a good job of finding children crying in the audience from Brock killing Cena. Honestly would have preferred this to have been a one and done with Cena getting the win instead of getting a rematch later on. I really do love and miss the Usos theme song so cool for them running it back before the yeet fest. Match was perfectly fine stuff and Knight being the guest ref didn't overshadow things even if it didn't always make sense. Can Bron work a match where you don't have to wonder if he didn't just seriously injure himself? Still not sure how Jey got busted open. The burst that Bron got on his one step spear looked so much more impressive than spearing both Usos through the table. Thought Stephanie and Iyo started a little slow but built into a really good match. Iyo is just so good at drawing a quiet crowd into her matches. Also Stephanie's dragon screw leg whip probably gets the second biggest reaction to the Devil's Kiss in her matches and rightfully so. Loved the knee work setting up the finish and Stephanie's Spinal Tap was a thing of beauty. The mixed tag team match was fun but probably went way too long. Honestly a match with the 'E mixed tag team match rules probably should never be worked like a PLE style main event match. Thought AJ looked perfectly fine in the match for her first match in a decade. Assume that we'll get a single match between Becky and AJ in the near future. Drew and Cody was a perfectly fine match but didn't really get that next level. Cody spent the match selling a head injury/concussion but ultimately it didn't really factor into the finish. Also this is the third time that Cody has retained the WWE Title because an opponent's inability to pull the trigger on him. With the questionable reffing that Wade brought up on commentary, I assume that we'll get a rematch in the near future. Nothing bad but nothing amazing either. Was a perfectly fine watch but probably not the show to "launch a new era" or to counter a lot of the online negativity that recent decisions have been bringing about. If you only go out of your way to watch Stephanie and Iyo, I don't think you're really missing much. Edited September 21 by blitzkrieg 3
Niners Fan in CT Posted September 21 Posted September 21 I'm not going to be as kind. Was this the worst show ever? No, but it wasn't a good one in my opinion. Beyond the commercials and ad placements and time wasted between Triple H and Undertaker bullshit, it was really a one match show. Plus, you sell it on Cena and Lesnar and that really sucked. I won't be too harsh because I didn't pay for it. VPN and Netflix did the trick. 2

It did cut me off once or twice in the middle of the show and say I was watching using a VPN and to turn it off and try again. I just switched my VPN to a different European country and went back in and it was fine. Is that normal for Netflix to do that? The show itself was okay. Perfectly Acceptable Wrestling to steal a line from Scott Keith. Mostly background noise for me. I did enjoy Vaquer/Io but I enjoy anything those two do at this point. Some of the intergender stuff in the Punk match was cringeworthy. Not because it was intergender but because it was just sloppy. I got a kick out of bringing in all those kids for the Cena entrance just to watch him get squashed. lol 1

Netflix used to not care at all about VPNs but they've tried to detect them more recently It seems. It just doesn't really matter. All you have to do is go back in and change to a different location. Canada was running slow for me so I switched to UK and it ran perfect. 1
TheVileOne Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Sorry to be a negative nancy again, but I found this show rather nauseating. I did think the cold open was cool, but it was surrounded by way too much self-congratulatory back-patting nonsense. Like yes, it's somewhat momentous that WWE is on ESPN now, but this went beyond humble brags. WWE does have some of the best production values on the planet, but the other side of that is that sometimes WWE looks too over-produced, too slick, and too overly homogenized. It felt that way tonight. I don't really see the point of that John Cena vs. Lesnar match. You could've easily done that as like a SmackDown season opener or something. It was a waste of a match for John Cena, and I feel like there's been a lot of that during his retirement tour. I guess they want Lesnar involved for War Games, but you could've had Sami Zayn wrestle Cena and Cena puts him over, and it could've been a really emotional passing of the torch moment and something lovely. You could've had heel John Cena wrestle LA Knight and put over Knight. I just don't get this at all. Lesnar is Lesnar. He's established. Cena has maybe three more matches left, tops. So you did this, which wasn't exactly a greatest hits moment. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Iyo was good, and I think the right woman won. However, Triple H clearly struggles booking babyface champions after they win the big one. Also, look at a lot of women's champions after they win their belts. He doesn't really know what to do next with them. Case in point, Chelsea Green, Zelina Vega, Bayley, Iyo Sky, and now Giulia. Mixed tag was good, but like, I don't feel it needed to be that long. You could've easily shaved off 10 minutes and gotten another solid match in there. It's weird to me that these PLEs are so light on action. It feels like not enough wrestlers are being featured to have big blowoffs to their feuds on TV, and I think that's getting to be a problem. It worked in NXT with the TakeOvers because it was just the NXT roster. The problem is that PLEs have to serve both Raw and SmackDown, and not enough people are being featured. I'm not asking for 9-10 matches, but I feel like they could easily get 6-7 regularly. Where are Judgment Day? Did you even remember they are the tag champs? What about the Wyatt Sicks? Where's Dominik Mysterio? Whereas AEW tries to squish everyone onto a PPV card, I think WWE currently has the exact opposite issue right now. Cody vs. Drew was OK, but it felt more like a transitional TV match on the way to a bigger PLE match. A lot of the show match-wise felt more like a glorified Raw or SmackDown than a PLE. I'm fine with the Stephanie McMahon announcement. She's as deserving as many other people who have already gone in. Like yes, it's not a real Hall of Fame, and it's just a handful of people picking and choosing, but it still feels a bit goofy the way the announcement went off. Also, it's goofy because they never announce an inductee this early, and it's Stephanie. If you're going to start inducting people this early, then name Demolition, Cyndi Lauper, etc. Someone everyone can agree on and don't wait until March or April. Announce the next one at Survivor Series. But between all the back-patting and self-congratulating, the Stephanie announcement just kind of made everything kind of eye-rolling, like "Yeah, I get it, okay." I do think Stephanie was a good heel and a good TV character, all things considered, and she was capable of working a solid match after a while. But like putting her into the WWE Hall of Fame kind of feels like...inducting Dana White into the UFC Hall of Fame. But that's how the WWE Hall of Fame is. And unless they get an actual legit voting committee, it's always going to be this way. 1

dogwelder Posted September 21 Posted September 21 I thought the show for what it was was fine. I don't understand the booking of Brock vs Cena. Do people really want them to see them wrestle again before Cena hangs it up, especially after Cena basically got squashed? I don't think so. Usos vs Brons was a good tag match. Iyo vs Stephanie was pretty good, but to me it seemed like a step down from Iyo's recent matches. The mixed tag did not need to go 30 minutes. It was enjoyable at first but just dragged on and on to the point where I started falling asleep. Cody vs Drew was good but with a really lame finish IMO. And I'm at a loss now on who Cody will be defending against now unless they do the Orton heel turn which I'm not sure will end up good for either Cody or Randy. 1
Steventon Posted September 21 Posted September 21 10 minutes wanking over Pat McAfee, who was unbearable immediately. Brock vs Cena was pure nostalgia bait and rehash of their previous matches, for what purpose I cannot say. Is Brock going to actually get a push or something? The Brock - Heyman segment on SD was just to set up Heyman doing his entrance lol. And of course we have to find the shots of children crying to exploit that for meme value. Then we had a special guest ref tag match with a 20 minute long entrance which was sponsored by some nonense GriftorTech. That was just the first hour lol god what a fucking garbo show. I caught some of the intergender tag match - the whole premise of tag matches matches where half the competitors cannot attack the other half just do not work. Too long. Who are the people who really care enough about Punk vs Rollins for the 346th time they want to see this as an extended family feud.
Casey Posted September 21 Posted September 21 The only thing I’ve seen is clips of the Punk/AJ match and the interview they did on the post show. My dude is fucking HIGH off adrenaline and happiness because AJ is back and they’re working together. He’s unhinged in this thing and I love it. 3
Stefanie Sparkleface Posted September 21 Posted September 21 I have Hulu live TV for soccer and volleyball purposes, and this was sitting right there on the sports tab of my Hulu app, so I figured what the hey, I want to see Stephanie/Iyo. Anyone familiar with my posting habits can tell you I've been on the Stephanie Vaquer bandwagon since she toured Ice Ribbon in 2022. I think she's the best in the world right now (at least, I'd have to think very hard about who would be better than her), and her match with Iyo did not disappoint. It maybe could have a couple of things trimmed off and it would have been a better flow overall, but I was very satisfied with what I got. As far as everything else... - Did my post-dinner chores during the intros and Brock/Cena. Whatever. - Brons/Usos was okay. I think Bron Breaker (is it Breakker? I'm dyslexic and I always forget whether or not they gave him a superfluous letter in his name and where they did it) could be a star, or he could become the next Ryback because he seems like a legitimate mental case. - Cody faking post-concussion syndrome symptoms took me out of his match with Drew McIntyre. Turned the show off at that point, don't care about the result. - Probably not a popular opinion, but Stephanie McMahon clearly not knowing she was being announced for the Hall of Fame seemed genuinely sweet to me. Too bad it was Undertaker doing it, but what can you do. - The mixed tag had a lot of problems. It was too long, the flow was all over the place, Becky is not the right person to carry someone who's been out for a decade (she often needs to be carried herself), Punk/Rollins is stale, and AJ should have to watch a comp of Bobby Eaton matches before she ever throws a punch again. But hey, the crowd seemed to like it, and Punk and AJ seem happy, so good for them, it just wasn't for me. I started doing my manicure during this match. If I can get two coats of nail polish onto my nails and dried in the course of one match, it's too long. Overall, I give it two Slim Jims out of five. 5
Niners Fan in CT Posted September 21 Posted September 21 2 hours ago, hammerva said: Oh so that is why VPN is what everyone is trying to use. it allows you to pretend to be from other places so you can get the international advantages that we don't Netflix (at least in Canada and the UK) stream all of the WWE content including RAW, SD! and NXT weekly and then all of the WWE/NXT PLEs as well. So if you are using a VPN you are changing your location to one of those areas so you can get Netflix content in that region. It's also good for movies and TV shows because every region has different licensing agreements so if a movie or show isn't on Netflix USA then change your region and it might be on elsewhere.
