RIPPA Posted September 28, 2025 Author Posted September 28, 2025 Well Charlie Morton is clearly retiring He was removed from today's game and greeted by his family as he left the field
RIPPA Posted September 28, 2025 Author Posted September 28, 2025 It’s getting late early for the Mets They are down 4-0 in the 4th and they have Edwin Diaz warming up

RIPPA Posted September 28, 2025 Author Posted September 28, 2025 The Jays will win the AL East The Mets are 3 outs from going home
RIPPA Posted September 28, 2025 Author Posted September 28, 2025 The Guardians officially win the AL Central and will host the Tigers 1
RIPPA Posted September 28, 2025 Author Posted September 28, 2025 The Mets are officially eliminated One of the all time biggest collapses Gonna be real interesting to see if Carlos Mendoza keeps his job 2
RIPPA Posted September 28, 2025 Author Posted September 28, 2025 Also fun little fact The Yankees finished with a 94-68 record. That was their record last year too Last year that equaled winning the East by 3 games and the bye This year it means having to play in the Wild Card Baseball is funny
Nice Guy Eddie Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 I'm pulling for the Paul O'Neill World Series, Yankees/Reds.
Craig H Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 Wooooow. I'm legit shocked the Reds made it in. They were as good as dead and limping along and the Mets (I just looked this up a month ago too dammit) who had something like 4 or 5 collapses before this season in this century collapsed yet again. They're the inverse of the Dodgers. Throwing fuckloads of money at the wall and the Mets set records in futility while the Dodgers clinched for the umpteenth time.
Dolfan in NYC Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 For long life and happy feelings, please enjoy Gary Cohen & Keith Hernandez being big BIG mad: And to put a button on this... here's what they were flipping out about:

I thought that one Tigers season was bad but this is probably the most putrid display ever. MLB needs relegation. Colorado finished at minus-424; the 1932 Red Sox held the modern day (post-1900) record at minus-349, so the Rockies absolutely blew that up. If it makes them feel any better, no one is topping the infamous 1899 Cleveland Spiders, who finished 20-134 and with an RD of minus-734 in their final year of existence. Their fans knew what a shit-show it was, with a grand total paid attendance of 6,088 (yes, six thousand and eighty-eight) for the entire season.

I am assuming that is supposed to be that their average was just over 6000 because they drew way more than that in the park just for night Mike Trout hit his 400th

RIPPA Posted September 29, 2025 Author Posted September 29, 2025 Trea Turner was the only qualified batter to hit .300 (.304 to be exact) in the NL (There were 6 in the AL) That total just beats 1968 for fewest amount of .300 batters in a season
Tabe Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 Clayton Kershaw finished his career with more 0-run starts than losses.
odessasteps Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 That sounds like how most of my MLB the Show games in Coors end up, esp playing the jobber White Sox. I think i won 22-1 yesterday, including a 3 HR game from Tony Gwynn.
