It’s probably because it made me discover that smoked provolone is definitely not my thing (that shit tastes vile), but I took one bite, got grossed out, tossed it in the trash, and went to the soul food buffet instead. I tried Geno's one time and the cheese was somehow so bad it ruined the whole thing. Didn't know that was possible. 2.I tried that and remember really wanting to like it but the smoked provolone was too much for me. Unlike Technico I had most of it but was kinda sad it didn't work for me (brother). I do want to try it again one day since this was about 10 years ago. 3.Angelo's is at this point in time my all-time favorite cheesesteak and it's not even close. I knew I was in the right place when the Suplex Vintage Store workers on South Street would talk for minutes about how great it is. Had to wait an hour and a half after ordering but it was so damn worth it. For Saturday I'm making a day trip out of it because why the fuck not and will try Cleaver's. My friend raves about it so I'm hoping it's worth the hype. I'm down for recommendations for other things to do as long as I get to the arena by 6. Also, I know thankfully the one shirt is on ShopAEW but if anybody likes the other Philly-inspired shirt designs my offer of PMing me details still stands. 1

Smoked provolone...you're thinking "hmm, maybe it's just provolone but with some smoky flavor. That can't be bad!" But no, that shit tasted like vomit.
Sublime Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Provolone works best paired with salamis, pepperoni, mortadella and such it needs to be a compliment just there to help the other ingredients shine. Smoked provolone…….there are probably good ones out there if you look hard enough or travel far enough but yeah what you get here in the states is usually vile. 2 1

More than anything I can’t stand both’s overuse of ‘just a match’. Sometimes ‘just a match’ is the way it is for a reason - not a common WOR consideration. Both, but more so Bryan, are overtly critical of the women - on both sides. Alvarez is consistently and disrespectfully dismissive of so many of the performers and it comes off lightly misogynistic. He also seems to have zero knowledge of any pop culture or anything outside of pro wrestling. Bryan comes off like a guy who could use a little self-awareness. Dave on the other hand seems to have at least a modicum of awareness of the world outside of wrestling. All that said, I highly doubt either have ill feelings over these nothing annoying arguments. Bryan knows nobody is listening to him without the Meltzer connection.

I don't even feel like replying to the rest because there is plenty of evidence to the contrary, but Dave is notoriously awful at predicting ratings or buyrates. Like, really, really bad. What he even bases his assumptions off of at this point is beyond me. There are times where he's convinced he knows what type of rating a show will do based off of Google searches alone and responses to the WO show surveys and he's wrong there as well. He has predicted both AEW and WWE's shows in Australia would do poorly only for each to do big business. When Charlotte beat Asuka or someone else he insisted that wasn't the end of the story all because HHH said there is more to the story and guess what? There wasn't more to the story and that's where it ended. His prediction that this first ESPN show is going to somehow tank AEW's buyrate is laughable because it's going to require that entire fanbase to know to and how to switch to ESPN's streaming service and find out they'll have to pay $30 instead of the $10 or $8 they've been used to for years and for anyone with a TV subscription that would give them access to ESPN without any additional cost, it will require a lot of those people to know how to do that too and many of those people aren't going to do that in advance. They're going to do that the day of. Those are people who didn't even plan on purchasing the AEW PPV anyway. Will WWE trying and stack the card for their first ESPN "PLE?" Yes. Will there be multiple hoops to jump through to watch that that not everyone will want to jump through or won't know how to jump through and they would only do that for WWE anyway? Yes. Will it significantly bring down AEW's buyrate? It will bring it down some but not to the significant levels Dave is thinking of because of some of the reasons I listed here. Point is, I would never trust Dave on any numbers he predicts or even numbers he reports on, like what the viewership numbers are for Raw when Netflix doesn't have any obligation to report those numbers. I highly doubt Raw is now down to doing sub 1 million viewers on Netflix. Dave insists otherwise based on...who knows what. 1

This was always going to be rough for him as like... I forget if it was here or elsewhere but Netflix's numbers are largely based more on vibes than hard data (all the streamers are). Trying to do the math on them to figure out what they really indicate is a fool's errand.
