Dolfan in NYC Posted August 26, 2025 Author Posted August 26, 2025 Wilson Contreras is probably gonna get a game or two off for his little breakdown yesterday:
DangerMark Posted August 26, 2025 Posted August 26, 2025 I'm impressed by the restraint of the umpire, a lesser man would have shouted right back and then chucked everyone who answered back.
RIPPA Posted August 26, 2025 Posted August 26, 2025 The 2026 season schedule has been released The Giants will host the Yankees on March 25 which will make it the earliest opening day yet (not counting international games) The other 28 teams will all play the next day (March 26) The final day of the regular season will be Sept 27 which is the earliest season end date since 2020 Other schedule notes The As will play two back to back series in Las Vegas' minor league stadium (vs Milwaukee and Colorado). The rest of the home games will be in Sacramento again MLB wanted to play a Yankees/Blue Jays series in London but West Ham had a home game that fucked things up Speaking of soccer - some teams had off days built into their schedule due to WC games taking placing at neighboring stadiums (ie: ones that shared parking lots). The Rangers, Royals and Mariners are all affected Despite it being collectively bargained - 2026 will mark the second straight season that no games will be played in Puerto Rico
Cobra Commander Posted August 26, 2025 Posted August 26, 2025 (edited) the Royals scheduling around the World Cup includes a Thursday/Friday/Sunday series and a Saturday/Sunday/Monday series the Sat-Mon series also means the Phillies are on the road for the 4th of July (the Semiquincentennial, a word I keep having to copy and paste because it's too long) which I guess also was predictable since the whole World Cup thing Edited August 26, 2025 by Cobra Commander

Craig H Posted August 26, 2025 Posted August 26, 2025 Willson has always been a dumbass hothead. When he left the Cubs for the Cardinals, me and the rest of my Cubs group thought he was a perfect fit in St. Louis. A douchebag on a team full of them in a douchebag city. 2
RIPPA Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 The Mets Nolan McLean became the first pitcher in franchise history to win his first three MLB starts
SirFozzie Posted August 29, 2025 Posted August 29, 2025 Kyle Schwarber had a great week last night. 1

The push notification I got said he's only the 21st major leaguer ever to get 4 HR's in a game. And only the 8th lefty. Your usual reminder that the Cubs let him go for something like a $25 gift certificate to Portillos.
RIPPA Posted August 29, 2025 Posted August 29, 2025 It's the third 4 HR game this season For perspective - the last time it had happened prior to this year was 2017
RIPPA Posted August 29, 2025 Posted August 29, 2025 Clearly this is why Anthony Volpe can't hit a baseball (or throw one either) Hopefully Ludwig Kaiser will straighten him out
RIPPA Posted August 29, 2025 Posted August 29, 2025 The trend of dumping shitty vets so they might catch on with another team to be playoff eligible continues So far this week Carlos Santana Andrew Heaney IKF Walker Buehler
