Don Sutton probably has thoughts about seeing his #20 on... whatever evil(?) Hello Kitty character that is.

Or maybe he's decided to live his truth.

That's Kuromi and she's a face these days.

Don Sutton wouldn't care until the check bounced.

Now, Kenley Jansen may issues with Hello Kitty in his jersey.

But, he's with the Halo's now, so it doesn't matter.

I was at the Mariners game last night. Seven innings of offensive ineptitude followed by an exhilarating home-run bail out in the eight and a save in which the closer worked three straight full counts and struck out the side for a one-run Mariners win is par for the course. This could be the least fun-to-watch baseball team that is also somehow pretty good.

Go M's!

Mariano Rivera blowing out his Achilles at old timers is an apt metaphor for the Yankees season

The Brewers will never lose again and the Cubs fucking suck. I can't even be mad at the Brewers.

The Brewers are now the first team since 2019 to have two separate 10 game winning streaks in a season

They are the 10th team to do that since the 1969 expansion

Even as a kid it bothered me that the Baseball Bunch played ball in jeans.

MLB announced that the World Series will start on Oct 24. If the series goes seven games - Game 7 will be Nov 1

They dropped the idea of flex scheduling if both LCs end early

Weird there isn't a Met with more HRs than that. AZ having a low career leader makes sense. And SD has just always stunk.

I think we had this conversation awhile ago for some reason where a lot of it has to do with injuries (or drugs) and folks not staying with the Mets for longer periods. Like Piazza or Beltran would be way higher if they had played their entire careers in New York.

Plus Shea Stadium was also a pitcher friendly park

For context - the Astros' (who started the same year as the Mets) leader is Jeff Bagwell with 449 (Alonso would be 4th on their list just ahead of Jose Altuve of all people)

So in conclusion - more Mets should have been on the juice

Polar Bear got another one last night after, so he's now at 254.

I genuinely would have thought the record was held by David Wright (242) or Piazza (220), but it was actually Daryl Strawberry.

We go now to his reaction:

The Pohlad family put out a statement saying they aren't gonna sell the Twins now

Yes this is exactly what happened with the Nats too

So - yup - two more teams who refuse to spend but refuse to sell as they wait for Manfred to force through a salary cap

I think Daryl Strawberry is the #1 draft pick of players who I would have sworn were Hall of Famers during their peak who will never make the Hall of Fame across all sports.

Gooden and Strawberry made it look like the Mets were going to be good forever

Who knows what could have been if not for Mr. White?

I mean technically he turned towards second, so run over and tag him to get the out.

Amaya is already back on the IL - it apparently is only an ankle sprain as the X-rays were negative for a fracture

The Cubs called up OF Owen Cassie to fill Amaya's roster spot. Cassie is the Cubs top prospect (or one of them depending on whose list you look at)

Dr. Umar tried to warn us about that white girl.
