We've certain had convict gimmicks before. I dont know if any had a parole officer or warden as a manager.

I think this is how they were gonna debut Harlem Heat in WCW with Colonel Parker, but even WCW realized how incredibly racist it was gonna come off and pivoted.

Joe Malenko appeared one time on Nitro when Jericho was feuding with Dean.

Dean is the son with some amount of charisma. The other one may be a creation of AI.

Met Joe in Waterloo. Bald and wearing glasses, had not idea who he was at first.

the correct answer is of course Lazer Tron.

I believe that was Sid’s idea originally.

I don't know about that. I always thought Joe's weird buggy eyes made him look like a possible serial killer.

the Harlem Heat part was pivoted off of... Col Parker was still a Southern plantation owner doing a Foghorn Leghorn tribute voice after that

They actually did mention it! Caveat: you had to watch Mania, which I don't think anyone was doing in late-March 1995, and catch a very specific 30 seconds.

The only reason I even remember it was because Joe Marotta posted it on Twitter this month.

So is Todd sad about those drugs going to waste or...?

IIRC Mania was still doing okay numbers for its timeslot around that time. Then again, if that show was on today, about 60 folks would watch it. Times have changed. Now that show would be for the sickos.

Been meaning to post this for a minute, but y'all should follow Leilani Kai on social media.

Her accounts are a total love letter to wrestling. It seems that she kept every photo and clipping from her career and it's a staggering amount of stuff. She posts pretty much every day and I don't think I've seen many repeats.

She's still totally nuts about wrestling and it's so refreshing to see. Loves puttin' the youngins over. She still hangs with Judy Martin, too!

My favorite post of hers was a picture of her with the caption "I just woke up. It's 4:45 a.m., so I'm gonna put on some WCW Worldwide."

That might be the most DVDVR sentence I've ever seen outside of this site.

Leilani is such a treasure. On the same tip, Missy Hyatt is absolutely nuts for wrestling and loves watching current matches to give feedback (or just talk about how much she likes certain people). She's a great follow as well.

I've caught a couple in my feed, specifically the wrestler recipes, like Sherri Martel's spaghetti. Those are like prison recipes where people are using ramen as a base for any food they can throw in 😄

Stu’s official Facebook page released a statement on Sunday, confirming that he has now been released from hospital and is home resting. The statement notes that while Stu is in good spirits, he faces a long road to recovery.

"Stuart has been released from the hospital and is now home resting. He sustained a serious head injury and was unconscious upon arrival at the ER. His injuries include trauma to both the upper and lower jaws, a laceration to his upper lip, and a fracture to the maxilla bone, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of several teeth.

He has a long road of recovery ahead, but he remains in good spirits despite everything he has been through.

We are deeply grateful for all the love and support we’ve received during this time. Thank you to everyone who has contributed in any way—whether through monetary donations, food, flowers, or gifts. Your kindness means more than words can express.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

With love and respect,

Contessa Patterson & Stuart Smith (aka SykoStu)”

Get well soon, Syko Stu.

There's a guy on YouTube with the handle Rubengarciavom who is organizing each year of wrestling into playlists.  For instance, 1981 it'll start with January and go through all the available shows of each territory and he updates them as stuff becomes available. You can get lost in those playlists for hours

I don't do Facebook, but awhile back I remember coming across her post of Bobby Eaton's favorite Slaw Dog Recipe.

Is this really Leilani running this account, or is it like other social media accounts where a 3rd party runs it in their name (Iron Sheik, Virgil, etc)?

When I become a hermit, I'm going to blame you.  How dare you share this shit with me?

I think it's really her. She got in a Twitter argument with Bubba Ray Dudley (of course) the other day and just posted about it and it showed up in my feed too.

I think the general rule is if they seem real and not just posting memes, they're real.

Here's an interesting one; saw this debate over on Facebook. This is an image of a Topps trading card featuring Demolition Crush. The interesting part is, who is it that he's wrestling? The opponent's tights do match a pair that Animal had worn, but the hair doesn't match at all. The two main theories are 1) a jobber with borrowed gear or 2) they Photoshopped Animal's head (this is the one I believe)
