TMZ is reporting that Hulk died.

Haven't seen outside confirmation yet.

Metro, New York Post and Wrestlelamia reporting the news. Cardiac arrest. Damn.

TMZ is reporting it as well.    while I know he was in bad shape,  I figured all the stuff Bubba the Love Sponge said was bullshit because well he is a piece of shit.

Wow.  There's a lot of bad in the guy's personal life and a lot that is unforgivable.  You also can't deny his impact on wrestling.  Hogan vs Beefcake was the main of the first wrestling show I ever saw in person.  RIP

Please note: “scummy person” far outweighs “wrestling legend.”  Thanks.

Say what you will about his later years, but there's a pretty good chance that none of us are here and this place doesn't exist without Hulk Hogan.

I mean, if not for Hogan, there's a good chance I'm not on this board right now. He was my gateway into pro wrestling for sure. Him vs. Orndorff was the main of the first show I ever went to.

I'd like to post the British talk-show host "Oh no!" gif but that's too cold even for me. I'll play nice, maybe post Hogan/Hansen later.

Okay, he did give us "It's not hot!"

Pretty wild how significantly a celebrity managed to kill their fanbase, that's for sure. A lot of people came back from lesser offenses. He ate it big time.

It will be interesting to see how people honor him.  I mean he is one of the biggest legends in wrestling.  A no brainer on Mount Rushmore.  But the vast majority of people who will be remembering him were either screwed by him or treated like shit by him.   That funeral guest list is going to be wild

As far as I'm concerned, this is his best cultural contribution and I'm not even trying to be funny.

If you know anything about me, you probably know I wasn't much of a fan of Hogan as a person, but I cannot and will not downplay his contribution to wrestling as a performer.  I was the kid who was always rooting against Hogan, but he's the absolute reason I became a fan.

Not me, I don’t give a shit and I’m not buying into “well we might not be here if not for him” shit either because if not Hogan then it would have been someone else. Not to mention that wrestling would have kept evolving and Hogan didn’t have an impact on lucha or puroresu so I’m willing to bet this site still exists.

Even in death, he couldn't let anyone keep the spotlight on them for too long (Ozzy).

I have a lot of conflicting emotions about this.  On one hand, what a reprehensible scumbag of a human being, but as others have said, im not a wrestling fan and wrestling isn't the same without him and his legacy.

For the sake of everyone's sanity - it would be preferred if everyone stuck to the contributions (pro or con) on the wrestling side

or the acting side - like when someone killed that dog while Hogan drove his motorcycle away

or all the absurd lying - which side note - I am only seeing this one for the first time and now I want more details

Quote

Says Harley Race came to the arena with a gun, and set the ring on fire and asked Hogan for a job.
