Micah asks completely and totally fed up with Jerry Jones' shit and I 100% understand. The fact that he tried to get this out of the way early when the price was lower, says everything I need to know. Reap what you sow.

Yea Sanders had a bad game but it doesn't change his long term prospects. If the Browns were smart they'd just pencil in Flacco for the year and let Gabriel and Sanders redshirt the season (I say it that way as with injuries, plans can change). Or at least til December and let them play the last couple weeks if the season is over for the Browns. Then next offseason let them battle it out for the starting job, and give the "better" one the full reins to prove themselves. Not alternate or 'one bad game and you are out' but an honest attempt to give that player a chance to get on-field experience. Sanders isn't ready to start in the NFL but 95% of college QBs aren't their rookie season, for every Daniels there are a dozen other examples of players that would have been better off learning and practicing.

The harder part is roster construction as they can't put either on the practice squad as another team may sign them. They are claiming to be fine keeping four QBs on the roster but that would be unusual, they may not have a choice though if they don't want to start the year with one of the rookies as the backup.

Browns clearing out some space in the QB room, trading Pickett to Las Vegas for undisclosed so far return. Raiders needed a new backup because Aidan O'Connell broke his wrist. Guess that makes Gabriel the backup and secures a roster spot for Sanders.
