Cobra Commander Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 after watching my team play the Braves for 3 days, I have some theories about why the Braves suck so much this year

Craig H Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 Sounds like Mason Miller may be headed to the Padres. It's nice that Jed Hoyer got his extension and is now back to waiting and ultimately doing very little but enough to say he did something and they tried. The best GM/PoBO a cheapass owner could ask for.
RIPPA Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 Eugenio Suarez is being traded to the Mariners As a reminder - the Mariners salary dumped Suarez to the D-Backs after the 2023 season So trading prospects to allow Suarez to finish the same contract with you sure is a choice 1

Had a feeling they'd kick ass this year. But I still feel the O's have a puncher's chance if they make the right moves. Also, taking three out of the four games against your Jays doesn't hurt either. That said the way they're talking about O'Hearn and Mullins being likely traded it's going to be stressful as the day goes on.
RIPPA Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 The Orioles are 7 games out of the final wild card and have already traded the majority of their bullpen That has to be one hell of a puncher

RIPPA Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 The Yankees became the first team in the modern era (assuming the random stat I saw on Twitter was correct) to rally in the 8th, 9th and 10th inning and then win in the 11th

Dolfan in NYC Posted July 31, 2025 Author Posted July 31, 2025 ...if so, they'd better get the Guards on the phone and fast. They're holding an Everything Must Go sale:
Dolfan in NYC Posted July 31, 2025 Author Posted July 31, 2025 So the M's are gonna be a problem come postseason: Suarez is apparently the first MLB'er *ever* to get traded after reaching 35 HR's
Dolfan in NYC Posted July 31, 2025 Author Posted July 31, 2025 Sacramento is trading Mason Miller & JP Sears to San Diego. The Pads send SS Leodalis De Vries and 3 pitching prospects.

It's not like the Nationals or especially the Sox/Rockies where they're beyond hope in the standings so a few wins here and there make me more hopeful than I should be.
RIPPA Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 It should be noted that Leo De Vries is the first Top 10 prospect to be traded (using Baseball America's rankings) to be traded since 2017
Gonzo Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 The Twins have also traded OF Harrison Bader to Philadelphia in exchange for OF Hendry Mendez and RHP Geremy Villoria.

Tabe Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 The Tigers have been busy. They've added 6 pitchers in the last week.
Nice Guy Eddie Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 The Yankees are close to acquiring Pirates closer David Bednar.
