Yes, especially during his title run. His run as champion was lukewarm at best.

Now it's obvious you're saying dumb shit just to say shit.  Back to ignore, you're insufferable.

Bryan Alvarez is trying to push the theory that Shelton, Bobby and by extension MVP don’t want to lose matches and only look strong because they want to go back to WWE.

lol

I saw that. MVP openly talks about how much he doesn't want to be in WWE. Shelty and Lasher look like they're having a ball. The Hurt Syndicate are booked how they are because they're terrifying-looking athletes who come off as legitimate and talented.

Lashley and Shelton both had interviews recently where they were discussing how great it is that AEW exists and Shelton especially was thankful to be having this run after being shelved for years.  I don't want to say Alvarez is full of shit but he might be.

Lashley looks like he's having a ball. And, for the record, he let by choice. If he really wanted to be there he would be.

You can say Alvarez is full of shit because he is.

Lashley giving AR Fox a thumbs up at ringside after Fox hit the Lo Mein Rain was hilarious.  After working first for Vince and then for a soulless corporation, I can definitely see how he’d find AEW to be pretty great.

People who criticize TK, or any boss, for being “too nice,” are mentally ill.  Thinking kindness is a negative is sociopathic.  Needing a domineering lunatic to tell you what to do and treat you as less than in order to keep you in line just means you’re not a responsible adult and probably have daddy issues.

Sometimes though, if you try to manage as a "nice guy", people might think that they can take advantage of the situation.

That happened with Punk, Andrade, and some others.

It is also clear now that, for better or worse, TK responds to insubordination by completely ghosting them, while continuing to pay them until their contract ends.

Not to stir up any drama but it looks to me now that about 1/4 of the stadium for 'ALL IN' is reserved for staging in the setup map.  The sections that are on sale are about 80% full and they are now up to 20,500 sold meaning they moved about 1500 tickets in the last 5 days or so.  The final week typically sees a big surge in sales as well.  I'm not too worried about what it's going to look like on TV, I think it's going to look great by bell time.

Watching Double or Nothing 2020…Brodie Lee just hit Mox with a palm strike and JR starts talking seemingly out of nowhere about how Asian wrestlers are good at palm strikes…….did he think Brodie was Asian due to his kayfabe last name?  Jesus.

We know for a fact that Andrade punched Sammy Guevara backstage, in an attempt to get fired. Allegedly, he also refused to do jobs, to the point that announced matches had to be changed because he refused to work the match if he wasn't going over.

I think that's just JR being a semi-senile, racist southerner with no filter.

You know, sometimes I wonder if the internet fan base is partially to blame for the attitudes of certain wrestlers. Alestair Black, Andrade, and Rusev were all dudes who a lot of us championed during their first run with WWE - and surely, many of us said that they could have been a main eventers if not world champions. Those guys get away from there, go to a much smaller company that's trying to answer the needs of certain corners of the IWC, and aren't treated like we said they should be treated?

What complete bastards! 😅

So, it's somehow our fault for these guys supposedly being difficult to work with and turning down ideas from creative?

It's what the Cowboy would have wanted him to say.

Seriously, there was something about the heyday of stereotypes in wrestling. A few weeks ago, I was watching a Mid Atlantic show from 83 with Gary Hart w/ Kabuki and The Great Dragon or whoever the hell was tagging with Kabuki. Anyway, Gary cuts maybe the longest unintentional intentional racist promo of all time and it involves the phrase, "We all know nobody ever took nothing from an Asian". And this promo was suppose to somehow (I think) make it seem like these are extremely proudful people.

How in the fuck it's still on the Peacock version of the WWE Network is beyond me, but then again, that may have just been a typical Gary Hart promo at the time. He may have offensive ones just there waiting I haven't watched yet.

I watched the Meiko Satomura supercut on the WWE Vault earlier today and the casual racism from the WCW matches is nuts but fits in with the times.

I mean they are all old wrestlers and the classic old wrestler trick is to feign interest in working elsewhere to try and get a raise so this all checks out to me >_>

So in lieu of an older topic, weird wrestling couples, I heard about one that's not the weirdest, but it's up there: Megan Bayne and Joey Janella?

He dated Penelope Ford for ages. Why are you so surprised lol

Because Penelope seems like the kind of lady that would date the kind of dude Janella is, Bayne not as much.

Why are people surprised at all when a man in Mick Foley whose forever gimmick was he couldn't get women in school cause he was strange and ugly married a goddamn super model? No only that but they got together when he was flat broke and being a human crash test dummie, and she was the breadwinner.

Some people aren't entirely shallow, thankfully.

Janela is basically lesser Mick Foley anyway, which is hilarious.

Haven't heard about it, but he seems rather small and she seems rather large? Even though it's only a four inch size difference, according to Wiki. Anyway, none of my business, and happy for them.
