Dolfan in NYC Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Finally, a thread you can fill with your thoughts about the small, up and coming brand known as World Wrestling Entertainment and all of its friends! Will HHH be fired! Will The Rock mess up another push! Will Phil "CM Punk" Brooks do something that will annoy YOU?! Who knows! Let's find out together! Some GREAT news to start...
twiztor Posted June 12 Posted June 12 is this a regional promotion? i hope they're not trying to break into the mainstream by signing a bunch of WCW has-beens and TNA castoffs! I really can't stand when some up-and-coming company hires a bunch of wrestlers that still have that "AEW Stink" on them. (green for sarcasm in case it wasn't obvious) 1
Casey Posted June 12 Posted June 12 I still think Punk/Cena and Goldberg/Gunther is the better idea for SNME instead of doing a final Cena/Punk match in Saudi Arabia of all fucking places. Especially if their intention is to "upstage" AEW or whatever. The troll inside of me really wants Goldberg to beat Gunther and win the World title, though.
Hamhock Posted June 13 Posted June 13 (edited) I’m assuming that Punk will eventually win the World title and then Rollins will immediately cash in on him and win it. Edited June 13 by Hamhock 1
username Posted June 13 Posted June 13 While I have doubts it'll be good, Goldberg did seem to feel legitimately wronged in that Vince sorta screwed him out of a retirement match and I'm basically programmed to feel good when some shitty thing Vince did becomes undone so sure why not. Goldberg did have a couple memorable matches during his last WWE run (not always for good reasons >_> ) so fingers crossed he isn't around too much beforehand and something at least interesting or funny happens.
odessasteps Posted June 13 Posted June 13 It was interesting this week to see Stevie break down the famous Regal v Goldberg match.
hammerva Posted June 13 Posted June 13 10 hours ago, Craig H said: There is zero chance Punk beats Cena for the title. At this next PPV I hope you mean
Dolfan in NYC Posted June 13 Author Posted June 13 Omos confirmed to *double-checks notes* "Gambling Industry News" that he's signed a contract extension.
hammerva Posted June 13 Posted June 13 Screw the WWE and NOAH, now I am picturing Omos at the World Series of Poker seriously though I hope he goes back to Japan. He was massively over and was looking really good 2
hammerva Posted June 13 Posted June 13 So Jey Uso is now in King of the Ring tournament. So I guess it depends on Goldberg Summerslam availability on his path
Ramo2653 Posted June 13 Posted June 13 Jey gets the mystery spot for King of the Ring. There's a path back to the title for him after Guenther/Goldberg wraps up that might also be when Seth cashes in.
Gorman Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I thought Ron Killings was going to get the mystery spot and go on an "I'm a serious contender" run.
Eivion Posted June 14 Posted June 14 Always seemed obvious to me that the loser of the title match would get the last spot. They didn't sell it as a serious mystery, just Pearce waiting to make his final decision.
odessasteps Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I heard someone say Jey lost the belt “so soon” bc he had an injury? Not true?

What I saw on the Twitter website (so grains of salt) is that Hunter made the call to switch the title because Spoiler He thought Goldberg vs GUNTHER would be a better match
odessasteps Posted June 14 Posted June 14 Probably. Good timing as I just watched Stevie do a breakdown of the regal v Goldberg match.
Eivion Posted June 14 Posted June 14 Opposed to a better match I assume they mena bigger match which is not wrong per say, but that is also a match that doesn't need a belt. Goldberg/Gunther would be a match that interests me if I knew Goldberg was willing lose.

NoFistsJustFlips Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Is it not like super obvious that they're gonna put the belt on Goldberg as a shock feel good retire with the belt moment, just to get snatched away by a Rollins cash in? Then Punk vs Rollins 2 at Summer Slam can be for the World Title. Seems to me thats pretty likely, if not a total lock. 1

I don't want to see Goldberg celebrate even if it's just for a minute. 1
Curt McGirt Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Yeah, the guy who hates wrestling getting anything back from wrestling at this point is pretty awful. 2
