The part that apparently earned him the ban, on top of the ejection, was as he was being removed, he shouted "Say hi to your mom for me". 1
RIPPA Posted June 26, 2025 Author Posted June 26, 2025 The Rockies announced that their President and COO - Greg Feasel - will step down at the end of the season. He will be replaced by Walker Monfort... who also happens to be the owner's son I am sure that will go well

hammerva Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 (edited) Rest in Peace Dave Parker from the Pittsburgh Pirates and a ton of other teams. A great hitter in the late 70's and without a doubt had one of the greatest fielding displays in All Star game history in 1978 I think Damn he was supposed to go into the Hall of Fame this year. Thought he was already in Edited June 28, 2025 by hammerva 3

Thought he was already in I don't remember Parker much as a player, but the picture of him smoking a cigarette in the dugout is a top 5 all-time coolest sports picture. At that moment, that was the coolest motherfucker (respectfully) on the face of the earth. 1
odessasteps Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 Between the putout from RF in the ASG to the World Series, 1979 was great heat for the cobra

And let's give full credit to Parker for his positioning. He was in a perfect spot to field and throw. Edited June 28, 2025 by Tabe 3

RIPPA Posted June 30, 2025 Author Posted June 30, 2025 James Wood becomes the first player since Barry Bonds in 2004 to be intentionally walked 4 times in a game (It helps that it was an 11 inning game) Expect teams to keep doing this to Wood especially when the 3-4-5 hitters behind him went.. checks notes... a combined 1-15
RIPPA Posted June 30, 2025 Author Posted June 30, 2025 Apparently (in reading the comments) that’s not the original Freeze. Not sure what version this is but he has lost a bunch already this season.

At that moment, that was the coolest motherfucker (respectfully) on the face of the Earth. Tim Kurkjian told a story about Dave Parker on his podcast about Parker wearing the Star of David. When asked why he did that, Parker responded, "well, my name is David, and I'm a star." There are now officially two days where Dave Parker was the coolest motherfucker on the face of the Earth.
