Dolfan in NYC Posted June 13, 2025 Posted June 13, 2025 Aaron Civale is being traded by Milwaukee to the Chi Sox for Andrew " -1.6 bWAR " Vaughn. This somehow feels insulting to both players.
RIPPA Posted June 13, 2025 Author Posted June 13, 2025 Civale requested a trade so that’s definitely a “be careful what you wish for” scenario
odessasteps Posted June 13, 2025 Posted June 13, 2025 On the Bababooey scale, a solid 7. shes just not used to working in some many clothes.
RIPPA Posted June 15, 2025 Author Posted June 15, 2025 Back to the Rockies sucking Quote The Rockies have the fourth-fewest wins by any team through their first 70 decisions in a season in MLB history and the fewest since the 1899 Spiders won 12 of their first 70 decisions. Colorado (.186 win percentage) is currently on pace to go 30-132 this season. Colorado is 13-57 Also in Saturday's loss - the struck out 19 times which was a franchise record (for a 9 inning game (and the most the Braves pitchers had in a 9 inning game)
hammerva Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 Back to the Nationals sucking. After losing to the Marlins and in danger of getting swept 2 series in a row, Davey Martinez basically put most of the blame on the players and managers aren't responsible. Yeah not good at all
Dolfan in NYC Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 Zach Wheeler says his current contract will be his last. It runs through 2027.
RIPPA Posted June 15, 2025 Author Posted June 15, 2025 Throwing your players under the bus and then trying to gaslight them by saying you weren’t talking about them is amazing
Cobra Commander Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 (edited) Red Sox celebrated sweeping the Yankees by trading Rafael Devers to San Francisco Edited June 15, 2025 by Cobra Commander 2
RIPPA Posted June 15, 2025 Author Posted June 15, 2025 Them getting completely out of that contract is wild
SirFozzie Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 The Red Sox fandom just got RKO'd outta nowhere by this news. They're rioting. 1
Gorman Posted June 16, 2025 Posted June 16, 2025 I guess the Red Sox didn't like Devers' "I don't wanna play first base" act. 2
Cobra Commander Posted June 16, 2025 Posted June 16, 2025 appears the Boston sports media is in a "stories we can now tell you" news cycle

RIPPA Posted June 18, 2025 Author Posted June 18, 2025 The Nationals have now lost 10 straight after dropping the first two games to the Rockies. I’m sure it’s all the players fault
RIPPA Posted June 18, 2025 Author Posted June 18, 2025 There is petty and there is Rafael Devers immediately taking first base reps and saying he will play anywhere the Giants ask level of petty 1
RIPPA Posted June 18, 2025 Author Posted June 18, 2025 Take this for what it’s worth but the Rays might be about to be sold

He's not a good third baseman, but he was absolutely the best player on the team. They gave his position away to a one year rental in Bregman and made him the DH, which he wasn't happy with, but accepted. Then they asked him to play 1st, a position he's never played, and he balked because they pretty much told him he's not a good enough defender to play in his actual position. They were putting him in a position to fail, and then acting like he's the problem when he calls them out on it. He didn't tell them he wasn't good enough to play defense, they told him he wasn't good enough to play defense. So, why are they asking him to play defense?
Craig H Posted June 18, 2025 Posted June 18, 2025 I just hate this whole situation because it makes it more likely the Red Sox sign Tucker because there's no way cheap shit fuckhead Ricketts is going to pony up the money for Tucker or PCA nevermind that having each guy long term would give the Cubs a long window of contention. I'm just going to enjoy the wins while they last and hate the day I see Tucker with the Red Sox and PCA with, flip a coin, the Yankees or Dodgers.

He signed a contract to play a specific position and then they tried to move him twice. Had he known that, maybe he signs that contract elsewhere. I think all of us would be upset with our employer - regardless of salary - if we took a job somewhere based on a promised position and then they tried to move us twice in a span of a few months.
