Both of them were great acts on Dark, but that’s about it.

I’m a little upset Jazwares cancelled Abadon’s figure but it is what it is.

Check this out. So AEW is in Denver this week for Dynamite/ Collision Fyter Fest. Apparently, they now run Colorado on or near my birthday, as this is two years in a row. I went last year and I'm going this year.

This afternoon, we were driving to my nephew's baseball game in Aurora, and had to make a detour in North Glenn. North Glenn is about 20 minutes outside Denver. It also has a huge truck stop since I-70 runs through it. When we drove by said truck stop, I saw two giant AEW Production trucks parked in the long term parking lot.
Of course, there's an adult boutique across the street and a dispensary, it is a truck stop in Colorado . Four days the drivers get to hang out there.

My 50-year-old sister is going to Fyter Fest in Denver. This will be her first wrestling show. (She did go to one of my baseball games)

Does anyone know what's up with Dalton Castle? He had that apparent KO against Roddy in July and then was announced as on the injured list, but said the real issue was a biceps tear and he expected to be cleared at the start of the year. There's not really room for him in AEW right now, but I would have expected him in ROH. His Twitter hasn't been updated since a 1/17 re-tweet of the AEW official account and I couldn't find any news.

Wrong thread. Good times. Still, today and every day, in this house, it's 'fuck Phil.'

Kinda curious to see where both Abadon and Bear Bronson land. When healthy, Abadon did a pretty remarkable job getting over. Seems like a no brainer for TNA. Bear Bronson has great potential. He's very solid and very strong. His choice of gimmicks has been his hardest challenge to overcome. I remember thinking he was a bump machine at times. Made a lot of ppl look very good.

They announced most of the lineup for Dynamite. I'm getting Mark Briscoe vs. Moxley for my birthday. I think Moxley kinda stinks, but Mark and Samoa Joe are my favorite guys in AEW. So I'll be cheering like a Philly lunatic for Mark and booing the fuck out of Moxley. 😀
The four way with King, Omega, Claudio , and Dorado should be a spectacle.

I've said before but the semi-annual Halloween Deathmatches for Abadon was always one of my favorite things, last year's against Athena on ROH may be my fav and was a great use of the ROH show. Abadon getting a spot in the video game ruled, always felt there was a lot of marketable potential with them so it always surprised me there was so much time spent with nothing being done. Would definitely love to see Abadon in TNA of course.

Ok, prefacing this with the fact that I don't want anyone to be out of a job, so don't read this as me being happy someone was let go or even just fine with it.

I don't think Abadon was that great in the ring. Also, I'm a hater of "spooky" gimmicks, but I also think they're limiting to the performer and to their booking. At best case, you can do the "mind games" angle. At worst, you have to have their opponents act scared of them. I hate that part of it. These are all grown adults who fight for a living. None of them should be scared of someone in scary makeup. Now, if they're surprising the opponent or attacking them with a particular viciousness that you don't see out of other wrestlers, that's (IMO) a good way to go. I just don't think Abadon quite had that part down yet.

All that said, I'd like to see them get another shot. Have someone work with them on transferring the "scary" to their actions in the ring, not just makeup or facial expressions.

Totally agree, but Abadon's spookiness always felt more akin to a comedy character. Which to me played a lot better than what I imagine say the Fiend had to offer. There is definitely room to improve, and the company decision not to renew seems to reflect that.

Did Abadon do anything supernatural? I wasn't always able to watch but I feel they were presented more as "This person is legitimately insane and unhinged" as opposed to "a literal living dead girl"

A photo of her popped up on my Facebook earlier and lets just say they are probably being booked for something other than just wrestling gigs right now. Should be fine money-wise!

Yeaaaa. I follow her on Instagram (as well as Cora) and that OF/content production money is probably going to be nice for them.

Speaking of Cora/Elayna - she said yesterday that she'd love to sign with AEW and doesn't really want to sign with TNA since they're working so close with WWE and she wants/needs distance from that right now. Possibly a number of factors against her for that though - close friends with Punk, maybe has heat with Darby, wants to go back to WWE eventually but not right now, etc. But apparently has a lot of friends there too so who knows.

Buuuuuut she also just made like $40k in one day off a text post on Onlyfans so she'll probably be just fine making her own indie schedule and doing OF for awhile.

They've already got a bunch of comedy guys they don't use.

MxM? They’ve been used pretty well with potential for more. Who am I forgetting? And are they being chanted for on the other channel?

Oh you know you’re taking that jpeg to Kinko’s and getting an actual yard sign made!  😛

I was thinking novelty coffee mugs and one of those decorative wall hangings, but I like a yard sign...
