Championships and prestige, and by proxy, money and fame, are earned by being the best at inflicting pain and imposing your will on other worthy competitors. It goes back to that Ernie Ladd quote; "the best heels don't cheat because they have to. They cheat because they like it." The Syndicate hurts people because they can. They like it. MJF the character is fundamentally incapable of understanding that, and I think that's what's going to lead to his being dealt with by the Hurt Syndicate.

I really like the idea that MJF and Hurt Syndicate are fundamentally different in this way and MJF doesn't get it.  The Hurt Syndicate will gladly wrestle every week, stand up and beat anyone in front of them because they're that good and they really like it, to boot, while MJF wants to connive his way to championships, cheat, and wrestle as little as possible.  He sees the Syndicate as a means to an end, not partners, and can't understand that they clearly see through him.  Pretty cool.

Or just completely get rid of it.  It looked really bad last night and I’d love to know the ratio of time she’s pulled it off well vs times she botched it.  And really, shouldn’t something called “Code Blue” be a chokehold?

Kidd is also mostly shite as a worker in addition to being an objectively horrible person. Stealing Nakajima's entire heel schtick from his All Japan run + adding in goofy "I'm a mad nonce I yam" mannerisms every 3 seconds for maximum character work overkill = the most overhyped NJPW gaijin leader since...well, shitty ol' Switchblade and Ospreay.

Considering the absolute hoops they dove through last night to discuss Mina and Toni's history without once mentioning Mariah May, I'd say it's highly unlikely ("Toni and Mina were involved in a sort-of love triangle" which if you were unfamiliar with their past, you'd wonder how they had a triangle with only two people!).

I knew Joe wasn't going to win, but I had no idea who the guy in the hoody who slipped the briefcase into the cage was until they said it was Gabe Kidd. I guess you got to set up Anarchy in the Arena, but this one really seems weak compared to the others.

I kinda like Kidd. His match with Omega was really good and the match with Ishii was pretty great too. I think he'll do well in a wild Anarchy in the Arena. (No comment on the other stuff about him)

(obviously the answer is yes, since Mox hit Joe with the briefcase in full view of the referee). But then why did the ref make Joe break the chokehold when Mox got to the ropes?

Honestly, I don't remember earlier AEW Cage matches enforcing food breaks or not. Sorry about that.
