I'd rate the Sisters and especially the single in question as timeless. Perhaps a fan might suggest the same of Sum41. Forgive me on the release date, but the formula hasn't changed much since their early aughts emergence. 41 minutes ago, Casey said: Also, I assume everyone forgot Collision was on tonight, lol. ZACH GOWEN versus Ricochet is happening next week. NXT guy Je'Von Evans called TK a crackhead and he took that as a challenge! Also, Skye Blue returns next week (to lose in a four way Title Eliminator match, with Toni & two mystery women). Thanks for the tip on the hilarious exchange. And that was a really fun and lively Collision that totally over delivered. Ricochet is on fire.
Curt McGirt Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Moved from the main thread because I are the dumbs. Anyhoo: Turned on Collision in time (somehow I read all this stuff and I still think it's on Saturday so only catch it in the TV's guide) to catch Speedball/Dralistico, which was surprisingly stiff. My first thought was that they worked each other before and apparently only the once. Huh. Anyway, as soon as Dralistico caught that knee to the groin I called it and sure enough they went home. He wasn't selling it and they did another spot, so hopefully it was just superficial/visual of an impact. Speedballs has really caught up to me since that ridiculous match with Ospreay. The Masonic Temple looks really cool, reminds me of Hammerstein. I could definitely see a New Jack balcony dive out there. Anyway out comes Danny with his shirt airbrushed with what looks like a penis which is actually himself, and FTR Bald. TNA just cut (heh) blading so of course he does it. (BTW, TNA, great job at banning the blade the week your show is a dog collar match. loltna) I don't think I've ever seen a triple superplex spot before but mr.whiouxghes on the Discord reminds of the Steel Davey Richards gif so it's likely been done. What I saw was good, will go back for the rest. Also, Ricochet stole Zach Gowan's leg? Bwahahahahahawhatadick... 2
DreamBroken Posted May 9 Posted May 9 I'm hoping we get Seether's "Out of My Way" back as Zach Gowen's theme! Enjoyed how that all came together setting up a match next week for Beach Break which is looking stacked. Speedball continues to be one of my favorite highlights of every show, loving it. Enjoyed Nigel getting involved in the main event. Excited for Skye Blue's return! Love that they'll be doing a Mongo tribute next week in Chicago and also mentioned Ric Flair would be there for it. 1
AxB Posted May 9 Posted May 9 The masters of the POUNCE, united at last: Spoiler Collision, on paper it looked like it might be a 2 out of 5 type of show, but then a few of the matches really over-delivered and it turned out really great. Bailey vs Dralistico really felt like they'd worked together a lot and knew each other like the backs of their hands, but it legit was their second match ever. Willow vs Stat was outstanding by Willow's standards, but the fuck finish really bought it down. Up until that point, it was fantastic stuff. Also, I'm very gratified that a week after I advocated for running more 6/8 man tags to get more people ring time on the show, we had a really fucking good 8 man tag that got a lot of people ring time on the show. Kyle Fletcher is now so big and strong he can snap bodyslam someone without any apparent effort at all. 2
stuntmanc Posted May 9 Posted May 9 That was the first Collision ive been able to watch front to back and it was a damn fun time from beginning to end. Zach Gowen v Ricochet is not something I had on my 2025 wrestling bingo card, but im intrigued to watch it. I'm also looking forward to the eventual RUSH/Speedball match and RUSH/Dralistico v JetSpeed. 3 1

I'm not sure what you're referring to about the "by Willow's standards" line considering she's a great wrestler. But that might have been my favorite match of the night and that's despite the fuck finish. By having Marina interfere it can go one of two ways. Either Stat didn't realize what happened and is so full of guilt she finds a way to help Willow against the Death Riders. Or it's the start of a ruse where it leads to her joining DR. I hope it's not the latter but I just don't want anything to not happen as a result of all this. I might need to re-watch Bailey/Dralistico as in an effort to watch things before Max cut the feed I skipped over chunks of the match. But from what I saw it was pretty darn good. Bailey has been around for a long time yet for some reason since joining I'm becoming a fan of the guy. Also, Toni's promo was a very effective use of the venue. She is so dialed into everything that it's hard to not love her. 2
AxB Posted May 9 Posted May 9 It was a great match by Wilow's standards because her usual match is really good. Whereas this one was outstandingly good. 4
Technico Support Posted May 9 Posted May 9 When Anna Jay yelled WHO WANTS TO GET CHOKED OUT and Harley sheepishly raised her hand, I lol’d 5 1 6
Curt McGirt Posted May 9 Posted May 9 My first view of Speedball was, as said above, his match vs. Ospreay in TNA. It was all up from there. You want to get the dictionary definition of overkill, it's that match; I even gave it to Matt D in Secret Santo as a troll move. 1 1

stuntmanc Posted May 9 Posted May 9 I'd also like to put into the universe the idea to have Takeshita/Alexander challenge The Hurt Syndicate at some point. 3 1

Hell that would actually work with MJF seemingly wanting in a stable too. He could hit Bob with the Dynamite Diamond ring, and join the Don Callis family. That would get some nuclear heat if he was with Callis.
NoFistsJustFlips Posted May 9 Posted May 9 I'm so down with Zach Gowen working Dynamite. He's one of my favorite dudes in the business. Just such a nice guy and deserves his flowers and a dope showcase on national TV. 3
ExcellenceofAirPollution Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Just watched Dynamite. Fun show, great venue. Sorry @southofheavy got screwed out of working/going to the show, but that's a damn cool venue to work at! Bucks and Ricochet are really fun together. Match was a blast and I like the Bucks getting one up on Swerve again Bout to watch Collision. I heard Meltzer say Dynamite wasn't sold out and Collision was behind that, but I thought the crowd looked good on TV and were pretty loud. It's fresh so be interesting to compare shows 1

The Green Meanie Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Just caught up on both episodes. Where was Johnny Hungee? What was that red spider during the Willow/Stat match? What was that vape looking thing Cash was holding?
Craig H Posted May 10 Posted May 10 3 hours ago, The Green Meanie said: Where was Johnny Hungee? I thought the same thing! I just figured he was hurt or something. And speaking of dope as fuck tag teams that get ZERO airtime, Silver and Reynolds are criminally under used. They're both charming as hell, their comeback/heat spot is awesome, and they work their asses off. WTF! He hasn't wrestled once this year! Is he fucking dead? 1
SovietShooter Posted May 10 Posted May 10 5 hours ago, Craig H said: Silver and Reynolds are criminally under used. I tell you what, I always thought Reynolds was a guy that could break out as a singles. He is tall, lean, has a good look, and has very solid ring work. Plus, based on some of the behind the scenes stuff on BTE, dude has a great backstory and is a family guy. I dunno, just seemed like he was the type of guy you could build up to be a star, the way they did/are with guys like Garcia, Yuta, Bowens, etc. 2
Technico Support Posted May 10 Posted May 10 I would have loved it if, when confronted by the Grizzled Young Vets, O’Reilly said “Silver and Reynolds, you’ve grown!” 1
The Natural Posted May 10 Posted May 10 7 hours ago, AxB said: John Silver is injured. I did not know that. That sucks. Man Tony Khan really fucked up booking the Dark Order after the late great Mr. Brodie Lee passed. John Silver should have been an AEW TNT Champion, Silver/Alex Reynolds or Evil Uno/Stu Grayson the AEW World Tag Team Champions and the Dark Order the first AEW World Trios Champions. 1
username Posted May 11 Posted May 11 John Silver is sadly one of those prototypical "you can't hold off pushing someone who is hot forever" tales as the crowd was ready to ride with him for a while and for whatever reason AEW never did and it basically all went away. 2

MJF finally finds a family, and it's full of the worst people on earth. You could spin the Takeshita face turn off from there, too. 1
