Oswaldo Cabrera's ankle... um, shattered I guess is the right word... last night running to home. 

Somehow he crawled back to the plate and scored the run on the play too. 

Just by the horrific nature of the injury, I'm guessing he's done until the playoffs at the earliest.

I know it was a meme before the season but it is a reality - if you are a starting pitcher for the Dodgers, you are doomed

Roki Sasaki is the latest to go on IL -  "right shoulder impingement" which is basically the same injury he had last year in Japan

Always been possible, just required a trade or free agency with a guy changing leagues.

So the commissioner announced that the lifetime ban list only last for the person in question's actual lifetime. This means that Shoeless Joe, Pete Rose and 16 other are unbanned and HOF eligible

And because of rules instituted instituted in response to the dumb moral panic known "tanking" this will be the second straight season a historically bad team will be banned from getting a top 10 pick. A 5 year old could've told MLB what the second order consequences of instituting those rules would be.

Unfortunately the league had secretly passed the Danny Davis Rule which extends the ban an extra 10 years.
