🎼 Here's the thing, we started out friends... It was cool, but it was all pretend... Yeah, yeah... Since you been gone...

So last week we had Dynamite and Playoff Palooza!  And Daniel Garcia has decided Bald and Gun have been having just too much fun on their own, so, he says Fuck The Revival himself:

🎵 You're dedicated, you took the time... Wasn't long 'til I called you mine... Yeah, yeah. Since you been gone....

Also, sure sounds like Samoa Joe and Jon Moxley are gonna face each other soon!

🎶  But since you been gone, I can breathe for the first time! I'm so movin' on, yeah, yeah! Thanks to you, now I get what I want... Since you been gone!

However, on tap for this week...

I mean, I know I don't watch super closely, but shouldn't Hurt Syndicate and "MJF gets the black guys whips and bitches" segments just be one graphic?

(I do love that she's now the queen of daytime TV.  And based on what I've heard she went through after American Idol... good.)

Enjoy the week!

Not that I cared for it that much but, uh...what exactly happened to The Undisputed Kingdom? Who was the devil was kind of long and drawn out, but the the eventual reveal (could have) led to interesting things happening. MJF was going to get his comeuppance (which never happened, and that really upset me cause I, and I think other fans, were looking forward to it!) They awkwardly tried a double-turn and even tried to gaslight us into rooting for Adam Cole (which somehow took). Wardlow never won a title to give to Cole, then disappeared (due to another injury), and Taven & Bennett are MIA (not that I like either of them, at all). Kyle randomly joins and then about a week and half later they change the name out of nowhere. Not since The Nexus have I seen to many plots left unresolved.

Edit: For that matter, is The Conglomeration even still a thing? Did Willow officially join? Is it now just Orange, Ishii and Mark Briscoe?

OC is out with an injury, and Briscoe has been conglomerating with Speedball and some other guys. I don't think they've kept calling them by that name, but I know they've mentioned it on commentary.

The whole idea of The Conglomeration was a loose collection of guys looking out for each other and teaming up. Although it does make since that Rocky would be mad they made a shirt and left him off.

Speaking of faction names, I have a major quibble with The Paragon because it is a singular term. Like the whole joke in Airheads about the band being The Lone Rangers.

Yeah, I just assume anyone who teams with Briscoe (or Ishii) at this point is a part of the Conglomeration

Taven and Bennett really should find a third and come back after Cole/Strong/KOR even if I wouldn't be rushing to see it. They backed Strong when his neck was jacked and went along with the whole Devil nonsense, then got dropped by them both when their old bud comes along. That's a classic wrestling set-up.

Wardy was a part of that Kingdom group too. I'm game for the Warlow/Bennett/Taven revenge tour.
Note: I just looked up Wardlow. Still out with a knee injury. He was supposed to Wrestle a date during Wrestlemania week, but I don't think it happened.

EDIT: Yamashita v Toni Storm announced. That should be a helluva deal.

Ha ha ha ha ha.

What happened was, GCW announced a Senior's Scramble match (with The Rock n Rolls, George South, Action Mike Jackson et cetera) and said The WARLORD would be in it. But then THE WARLORD cancelled himself off that appearance because it was head to head with the WWE Hall of Fame and he wanted to go to that, with The Barbarian.

So Sean Ross Sapp reports that THE WARLORD cancelled himself off the GCW show, and one of the Newz Aggregator sites that copies everything he does read that, and reposted it, but being too young to know who The Warlord is, instead said WARDLOW had cancelled himself off the GCW show (that he was never booked on).

So yeah, Wardlow is still recovering from his knee and was never booked in Vegas week.

Now I want WARDLOW/WARLORD

Two dudes who have it all except for the talking and wrestling, a level of having it all that The One Billy Gunn cannot fathom.

Jokes aside, this is what I was talking about...

Hopefully he's also growing out his hair during his time off.  He lost just a massive amount of his aura when he cut it.

only saw around the last half-hour (last two matches) but the dick kick counter to the buckshot was a fun counter

show didn't overrun by as much as usual..

also, does Marina Shafir go through the bars of the cage like T1000 to interfere in the cage match

Card for 'Double or Nothing' looks good on paper so far with Hangman vs. Ospreay and Hayter vs. Mercedes for the Owen Cup Finals.

I'm guessing we will get an Anarchy in the Arena match between Death Riders and Swerve's Squadron?

I'd like to see Toni Storm on the card.

I went into the Fletcher/Page match thinking the only way Page lost was if somebody interfered to advance a storyline or to set up a match for Page at Double or Nothing. But I still bit on the low blow/brainbuster near fall. Good stuff.

You'd have to think with Storm doing all these "Eliminator" matches, somebody eventually beats her in one to get a shot at the PPV. Not sure who that would be, though. Maybe Megan Bayne, but if they wanted to run that rematch you'd expect they'd be having the two continue to interact directly after their last match.

Why did The Hurt Syndicate beat up Color Me Badd?

Absolutely loved that they confirmed that Hobbs is in The Opps. Hopefully Hook will return soon.

Takeshita, the state of your pants mate!

Also, NICKY BOY IS BACK! But he's not Nicky Boy. Frown.

Great opening 8 man going 25+. Love the Omega/Okada interactions, Ricochet & Speedball continue to be highlights in their own ways.

Toni/Yamashita was fun as would be expected, Miyu is awesome every time she comes around.

Popped for the random Comoroto return appearance as well.

Epic main event from Hangman/Fletcher delivered big. Hangman/Ospreay should be a hell of a match on PPV.

Another fun Dynamite.  8 man was a little too cute at points but I loved the pumphandle arm breaker spot getting reversed onto Ricochet and the bald related shenanigans that ensued......leading to him and Matt making up and busting out the first ever (?) back to back, my hair un-balds you pose spot........utterly ridiculous and I loved every second of it

Show was worth watching just for Toni spazzing out to Jamie Hayter's music.  I feel like she might have done that before, but we need gifs of that

Yamashita impressed me, but I found fault with the tactics of her offensive assault.  A little bummed she didn't win.  Maybe the dairy air of Virginia threw her off her game.

Death Riders aesthetic is improved without Pac there.  It got weird seeing him hopping in and out of trucks in his underwear

I thought Hangman and Fletcher started a bit slow but it turned into a hell of a match.  Hanger and Ospreay feels like a huge match, don't think they've had much interaction

The opener was basically a House Show main event(except for the heels going over) and I loved it.

Yamashita just jobbed out to Nattie Neidhart in Bloodsport, she was never beating Toni Storm.

I do wonder how many *s Meltzer will give the opening match. Because by his metrics, that'll probably be the worst ever match with Okada vs Omega in, but plenty of people would have enjoyed it more than those 6* epics they used to have.

I do like how people were complaining the Dyno is formulaic with the number of matches and how long they go, and so AEW changed it up by having fewer matches last night, but giving them far more time.

I'm now morbidly curious to see just how Shafir could botch that spot.

Boot gets stuck in the bars. Somehow the cage lights on fire.
