To me, it's good but not that price for a goddamn cookie good. Luckily, all the instances I've ever ate one is people bringing a box or two to work.

It's had the same sign in the window for 20+ years. As soon as I saw that episode of The Wire where they identify the convenience store with the bank-grade glass and no stock as a drug front, I immediately thought of that place. That probably isn't one, but we have so many goddamn smoke shops and casinos that've cropped up around town in the last ten or so that I presume some have to be. EDIT: Actually, it wasn't that spot in The Wire that made me think that, it's Joe's shop where it's just a junk store where he tinkers and fixes toasters. Now, who needs a vacuum cleaner fixed anymore? There's actually a vacuum & sewing machine repair shop in the town I reside. I was there once to have a vacuum repaired for the funeral home I was working at. It was run by an old man who had his dog in the store. I think I can safely say it wasn't a drug front. 1

As a big fan of films, it was cool to do and I picked some great films up in perfect condition: The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, The Good, the Bad & the Ugly, Memento and Pulp Fiction to name a few. The Thrift in town is one I hit every week. Their DVD/Blu Ray section aint big. And most weeks I sort it while looking. I just do alphabetical for them. Aint gonna do like home and break it down by genre and then if I got say 5 copies of TCM74 on DVD/Blu ray put them in release order.

When I first moved to this area I was wondering why a town this small and this poor had 12 or so boutique clothing stores on the main street and then a shoe repair shop. Figured at least one was a front. Shoe repair place is one that has been in that family for 3 generations. The locals go there to get new dress shoes and boots. Do think they do much shoe repair. And the clothing boutiques are mostly used by folks from outside the area. One is a wedding place that you got people coming in from Jackson and the coast to get dresses. 1

I was spoiled that year because I also got to go to the Smackdown with the Brock/Angle Ironman match. If you do check out Brock/Show I'd skip most of the rest of that show. Outside of the Eddie/Tajiri vs Haas/Benjamin ladder match it was full of duds, with Triple H vs Nash being a huge stinker. 1

Not only were their matches very entertaining, they are both at their best when they have someone to sell for. If I'm going to watch a Big Show match, I want it to be against someone who can credibly make him bump around like a cruiserweight and Brock is in the same boat. If you give either of those guys an opportunity to sell another power guy's offense, they are going to turn into Shawn Michaels. 3

So if you did decide to move to New Orleans and were tired of the local fare, you could find pretty good Mexican food. I think the argument though is if you don't give a damn about the local fare, why would need to go to New Orleans? Even though it's mad expensive, you can order the shit on Goldbelly and make it yourself. They give you the instructions. Otherwise, I am guessing there is a bunch of people across the country who consider Popeyes as New Orleans food much like Taco Bell is authentic Tex-Mex. I've had some really good meals in New Orleans every time I go and they were always outside of the Quarter except for the muffuletta. But the one thing that I always think about is the jambalaya at Dooky Chase's. I make a pretty good jambalaya but it wasn't like that. And I learned how to make chaurice so I could add it to my jambalaya like theirs's but it's not the same. I might order some from Goldbelly for my birthday this year if I stay in town. I'm kinda over the high end food scene in my city though, nothing is ever that good to me and when I hear people hype it up, my eyes roll like vintage Undertaker. The real gems are in the "ethnic" fare and the casual stuff. OVE (Ohio vs Everything) was the TNA-ified version of Oi4K (Ohio is 4 Killers) was Sami Callihan, Jake Crist, Dave Crist, and sometimes Madman Fulton and briefly Rich Swann. 44OH! was Ricky Shane Page, Atticus Cogar, Eddy Only, Eric Ryan, Bobby Beverly and Gregory Iron. But then they split into two rival 44OH factions... they had been black and green, so Atticus Cogar, Otis Cogar, Eric Ryan, Bobby Beverly and Gregory Iron became 44OH Yellow, whist Ricky Shane Page, Vincent Nothing, Alice Crowley and Christian Napier became 44OH Blue. And then a few months of gang war later, every member of both factions decided they were sick of their leader's shit and both groups disbanded on the same night. And Christian Napier is now a heel ref, allied with the Cogar Brothers in GCW (him being in the rival faction to them was a big "Here's a knife in your heart"angle, because he's their IRL cousin). 2

Sex Machine Gun Posted May 25, 2025 Posted May 25, 2025 This is NOT to reinvigorate the earlier subject but I really thought I'd informally banned myself by making a personal statement about Joshi fans. I was legit frightened to see what the responses would be because I really like this community and didn't want to lose it. That's all I'll say about that. To come up with a different topic in a topic-less thread: What wrestlers are addressed in discussion more or equally to their ring name? The first that comes to mind is X-Pac/Sean Waltman. I see the latter come up more often in the contemporary sphere than the ring name. Wrestlers who used their real names don't count.
