Keep in mind WWE also went under the orphan initialism thing in April 2011, so the WWE letters stand for nothing for the promotion. Still, they retained the "World Wrestling Entertainment" words for their former Inc and company name, now World Wrestling Entertainment, LLC under TKO.

They switched to WWFE (Inc.) when they went public in 99 (replacing Titan Sports Inc.) until the name change in 02.

You mean "World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, Inc" for the company name, back then after Titan Sports, Inc. 

Another thing is Vince Jr bought his dad's company and folded it into Titan Sports, Inc in 1980. So really legally not his Dad's old company. Capitol Wrestling Corporation Ltd., went defunct fully in 1982. 

Really another successor company started up in the early 80s. Something some companies in Japan have done too over time. It was converted into an LLC when sold to TKO Group Holdings, Inc.

Some operating companies for Professional Wrestling tend to use only the long name like the promotions long name and not the initials of the promotion. World Wrestling Entertainment, LLC, is only the legal name of the company under TKO. The modern WWE promotion has no long name, so you only call WWE by its initials.

I had the older TKO sheets posted elsewhere, and at one time they were planning to create a new operating company and label it WWE, LLC or Inc? instead, to hold all the WWE assets and copyrights and trademarks and more belonging to WWE. That was aborted.

That's exactly what happened, they only had to not use WWF in Europe since the World Wildlife Fund had the copyright/trademark (not sure of the correct term here) and they had an agreement about it and Vince and Co. kept ignoring it so WWF sued to enforce their rights. And they had to get the 'F' out.

All Japan Pro-Wrestling added the hyphen to the Pro Wrestling part of their name in the 00's. And unlike many other companies, they have two set of initials, so AJPW or AJP. The AJP one came from somewhere in the Muto run era.  The AJPW logo was slightly modified in the 00s too. They're operating under their third company, the Baba one is bankrupt.

I'm not one of those BJW experts, so I can't recall why they changed their initials. I don't expect most companies to be universal with how they do things. I may have to find the answer in Japanese later.

I mean Pro Wrestling NOAH has no initials, and NOAH is used for short name sometimes.

Completely random memory: I was in an e-fed ages ago and one person who joined and created someone quit after a few weeks, so their wrestler ended up just being beaten up a lot and tossed out of the building a la Jazz in Fresh Prince of Bel Air, followed by a single $20 bill as his pay. I ended up asking and taking control of said wrestler and re-dubbing him the $20 Man and just doing all the old Million Dollar Man bits with him only being able to offer $20 and it never working out. Was good for a few months of fun back then so... yeah, probably about the same now.

A “rich” guy showing up to brag about having millions, only for a good chunk of the locker room to be like “yeah, we’re paid well and we have that, too” would be amazing.
