Dolfan in NYC Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Just an utter disaster of a season. But at least it has brought the death of "Heat Culture". Just hoping once this one and done is through, we'll draft Paige Bueckers to replace Scary Terry.

Contentious C Posted April 16 Posted April 16 (edited) Orlando is already boat racing Atlanta. They just don't have enough to do anything even if they win one of these two games. I think Miami has a reasonable chance to sneak into the 8. And Orlando isn't too bad, but they'll be lucky to steal 2 from Boston. And Trae got ejected on some punk behavior. I know people were saying Atlanta ultimately won the draft night Luka trade because of February, but maybe both teams lost?? Edited April 16 by Contentious C
blitzkrieg Posted April 16 Posted April 16 (edited) Sunday Schedule: 8th seed vs. OKC at 1(ABC), Orlando vs. Boston at 3:30(ABC), 8th seed vs. Boston at 7(TNT), Warriors vs. Houston at 9:30(TNT). Surprised that Warriors/Houston didn't get the 3:30 matinee slot. Edited April 16 by blitzkrieg
Contentious C Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Coby White looks like such a fucking hobo. I love it; basically the same look I went for with my character in Avowed.
Contentious C Posted April 19 Posted April 19 (edited) Trae Young continues to make me think he's not really A Guy in the NBA and is better off as someone's sidekick. Would Young be a better fit next to Jokic than Murray? At least he's on the court more in the regular season. And Davion Mitchell is ending Atlanta's season. Awesome. Edited April 19 by Contentious C

I honestly think the worst thing that has happened to this era of the Hawks was making that run to the ECF in 21. They started thinking they were a guy away, mortgaged their future, didn't get near a title, and couldn't even pivot to a soft tank this year because they gave away their pick. Contentious C Posted April 19 Posted April 19 (edited) Westbrook hit a 3 and then also Houston Cougar'd his team the next time down. What the fuck. Then again, Jokic should have found Braun on the baseline, and should have made his FTs. Edited April 19 by Contentious C
Contentious C Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Hahahahahahaahahah, fuck the Lakers. Series is probably still going 7, but fuck those guys.
Contentious C Posted April 21 Posted April 21 That's 2 days in a row that went pretty much as expected. Memphis stinks, Orlando is the defense version of Denver, and who knows if Miami can steal any from Cleveland. But Houston did not play well. Too many turnovers, but mostly they just don't have Guys. Sengun could be, Jalen Green could be, maybe Thompson too, but they're not Guys yet. And usually to become Guys, you need to take some fucking lumps like this. Tonight was definitely a lump, aside from the 25-6 run or whatever it was.
Lawful Metal Posted April 21 Posted April 21 That was fucking bullshit. I hate Golden State. I hate Steph Curry. I hate Draymond Green. I will always hate them. 1 3
Brian Fowler Posted April 22 Posted April 22 If the Pistons could just hit a third of there threes this would be a blowout.
Brian Fowler Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Cade, Tobi, Malik, and Timmy Jr are a combined 3 of 24 from three and Detroit it still up four with 8 seconds left. Dennis is at least 3-5. If they had hit another three of those they'd be celebrating right now.
Contentious C Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Great response game by Detroit, even if the fourth looked like Saturday for a few minutes. Cunningham? He's a Guy. I think other than the three title favorites, every other series could be great. Bucks/Pacers might be the least competitive of the other 5 if Dame doesn't play. If he does play, who knows? Do all five series go 6/7?
Brian Fowler Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Oh my God a playoff win. I've literally forgotten what this feels like.
Brian Fowler Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Kawhi is just hitting everything he throws in the general direction of the hoop right now. Amazing to have him healthy again after all these years. *Knocks on wood*
Brian Fowler Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Seriously, he's hitting everything. Just hit a buzzer beater long three with three defenders contesting to end the half.
Contentious C Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Jamal Murray seemed like he thought about hitting the Rock Bottom on Norman Powell there for a second. It's the playoffs!!!!

Dolfan in NYC Posted April 22 Posted April 22 I guess Kawhi was wearing his pink suit last night. 39 pts on 19 shots is madness.
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Anthony Edwards has to make a $50,000 donation to the league swear jar, after shouting, "My dick is bigger than yours to the crowd in LA." Also, Terry Rozier's bookie sprained Terry's ankle this morning in practice. He's out for the next game. (Darn.)
