I don't think any of the things you said here.  I'm not saying it's smart to be irresponsible with your money, I just can see how someone who takes an 87% pay cut can fuck around and find themselves with financial issues.  I feel like we act like moving cross country is cheap and easy.  If you live in expensive ass Los Angeles and have Los Angeles bills, a $15 million dollar salary is probably great, but if you move to Milwaukee and have to pay both L.A. and Milwaukee bills on a $2 million dollar salary, you might struggle.  I just saw that he's currently in the second divorce preceding with the same woman.  The first divorce he was filed after Beasley started dating Larsa Pippen during his marriage, but they reconciled.  You know what, forget everything I said, he's probably dumb as hell.

Because of how the salary cap works and how you can't trade expensive assets for cheap assets.  So, if you want Kevin Durant, you can't trade a mid-level exception for him.  You have to put together a package of players who make a relatively similar salary.  Most of the time, you will have to mix and match a bunch of pieces to not gut your entire team for one player.

The Suns are reportedly working on trying to come to a buyout with Bradley Beal so they can then waive and stretch him. Right now, they can't use that stretch provision because it would exceed the maximum allowed, 15% of the cap (they have a couple small dead cap hits already.)

But they need Beal to accept giving up $13.8 million of the $110.8 million he has left over the next two years. Then they could stretch it over 5 years at $19.4 million. 

I kinda get why the Bucks did this with Dame (I do not think it was a good idea, but I get it) but I have no earthly idea why Phoenix would do this. They aren't going to be good next year and probably not the year after, why blow a hole in your cap the three years after that when you might potentially be able to rebuild.

The Dame thing makes sense for everyone involved. His family kinda fell apart based on the trade. His wife filed for divorce and asked for sole custody of the kids because he couldn't be a parent from Milwaukee. If he didn't get injured he probably would have asked for a trade. The Bucks need flexibility more than an injured Dame Lillard. They don't have any picks, so they might as well get him off of their books so they have money to sign free agents. Dame gets to go home and be a dad,  the Bucks get to try to build around Giannis. No one loses in this situation.

Except for Milwaukee having a $22 million dollar dead cap hit for five years, when they likely will desperately need every penny of space they can find to keep a functional team around Giannis.

Lillard filed for divorce a few days after being traded to the Bucks. The pair had been separated for several months prior to that. His wife's response to the divorce filing was to claim custody of the children. In her response, she mentioned that being traded to the Bucks was further proof that he couldn't support his children as a parent, but she had already claimed to be their sole caregiver. The reason that Dame is happy about the situation is that he gets paid in full while rehabbing and can sign for a lower amount for a contender.

Bradley Beal has agreed to a buyout with the Suns and will sign with the Clippers

The deal with the Clippers will be a 2 year, $11 million dollar deal with a player option for 2026-2027

Beal will give back $13.9 million out of the remaining $110 million he is owed. The Suns will stretch the remaining deal out over the next 5 seasons

Bradley Beal has been bought out and is signing with the Clippers.  If you were to make a list of the players I'd never want of my team and a list of Clippers since they signed Kawhi Leonard, it would have about 75% crossover.

I feel like I'm just DVDVR's Pablo Torre correspondent at this point.  He did a deep dive on the Malik Beasley situation and it's pretty apparent that Beasley is at the very least a dumbass.  All of these things happened in the course of a week.  He signed a $60 million dollar contract, he got arrested, he got photographed holding hands with Larsa Pippen, and his wife filed for divorce.  I'm 44 years old and I haven't done any of those things, he got it done in a week.  Other things of note in the episode. When the news about Terry Rozier dropped, a full six months before the Malik Beasley news dropped a Twitter account tweeted the something to the effect of, "next player will be M**** B******."  Then when someone called him on it, this dude posted a betting slip of a Jontay Porter under slip that was bought days before the game that got him banned for life and months before the investigation was made public.  At some point this dude deleted his account, but created another anonymous account that only seemed to exist to gloat about that deleted account knowing that Malik Beasley was the next shoe to drop.  So long story short, Pablo Torre was able to find this person and found that he's cousins with a guy named in the Jontay Porter case.  When they asked him about it, he said "I don't know that guy, I got all of this from Reddit.  I'll send you a DM with the thread."  They tried to send him a reminder, and he's deleted all of his social media.  With that said, Malik Beasley seems to be terrible at point shaving.  He's the type of player who puts up big numbers when games don't matter not only for the game he's playing in, but the betting lines.
