The Natural Posted April 14 Posted April 14 (edited) Ruben Amorim Manchester United record in the Premier League: 21 games, 6 wins, 5 draws and 10 losses. 14 of those points have come from 6 games against Everton, Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester City. Not to run salt into the wounds of Manchester United fans but what a state the team is in with the money wasted on shit signings. Erik ten Hag has really done a number on you with his transfers big time. You need two new goalkeepers desperately. Do you play Onana or Bayindir? Edited April 14 by The Natural
The Natural Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Only Southampton (19) and Aston Villa (13) have made more errors leading to goals in the Premier League this season than Manchester United (12), who made two against Newcastle on Sunday. United have gone 1-0 down in 19 league games this season with only Leicester (27), Southampton (21) and Wolves (20) doing so more often. It’s also the joint most games the Red Devils have conceded first in in a single Premier League campaign alongside 2013-14. Since Ruben Amorim's first game in charge, only Southampton (59), Tottenham (53) and Leicester (53) have shipped more goals in all competitions than United (48). United’s 14 league defeats this season is their joint highest tally in a single Premier League campaign, also losing 14 games last season. The Red Devils last suffered more defeats in a top-flight campaign in 1989-90 (16 in 38 games).
Raziel Posted April 14 Posted April 14 EtH's issue was he was trying to recreate what worked for him at Ajax, but the EP isn't the Eredivisie. My issue so far with Amorim is he's trying to tatically recreate what worked for him at Sporting CP, but again, Liga Porto isn't the EPL, and he doesn't have the players to make a 3-4-3 work. I'm willing to give him a couple years, but as Mike said, United's got some serious issues without UEFA money, Ratcliffe is turning out to me the monkey's paw "get the Glazier's out" solution everyone that looked up what he did with Laussane and Nice thought he was going to be (I think Mercedes is staying decent in F1 in spite of owenership decisions). Not counting turning more season ticket stands into hospitality stands, which is pissing off fans. New Grounds coming, and it's going to be the fanciest grounds in the Championship. That's not totally cynical, making the roster moves necessary for Amorim to get the players he needs to make his stuff work is next to impossible because United's loaded up with so many shit contracts it's going to take years to unfuck everything wrong with the team, and it's going to be a waste of a really good midfielder in Manoo, until someone scoops him up after the possible relegation in a couple years. 9 hours ago, The Natural said: Do you play Onana or Bayindir? Dolfan in NYC Posted April 14 Author Posted April 14 Btw, the Chicago Fire set a new MLS attendance record as over 62000 saw them draw 0-0 with Inter Miami. Messi hit the posts twice during the game.

Pete Posted April 16 Posted April 16 This is how crazy the Championship is this year: with four games left, EVERY SINGLE CLUB can still be either promoted or relegated. Three clubs (Swansea, Norwich, Wednesday) could go in either direction. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/ckg1y7ddrpxo
The Natural Posted April 17 Posted April 17 (edited) Bradford City vs. Notts County on Sky tonight. Huge game. Bradford City are 2nd on 74 points behind Port Vale on 76 but above Walsall on 72. The automatic promotion places. Notts County are in the playoffs, 6th on 69 points. C'mon the Bantams! Edited April 17 by The Natural
The Natural Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the second legs of their Europa League QF tonight. Man Utd are tied 2-2 with Lyon after 2 Onana howlers. Must win for Ruben Amorim but even more so for Ange Postecoglou's Spurs.

He seems to falter down the final stretches of a match after playing well to start. It's inexcusable to concede a 2-0 lead on this stage. 1

SirSmUgly Posted April 17 Posted April 17 I think European football is the best sport on earth. The amount of nonsense that I've seen in European competitions is unparalleled, and I've only been watching for a decade. And just as I type that, Harry Maguire wins it. Probably.

The Natural Posted April 17 Posted April 17 (edited) Bet the Manchester United fans who left early are sickened. Should be. Edited April 17 by The Natural
Raziel Posted April 20 Posted April 20 United about 10 minutes away from losing to... Wolverhampton. And with that go... 15 points clear of relegation. United cant hit the broad side of a barn today. If FM26 actually comes out and is playable, I'm gonna have a fun Fallen Giant save.
Pete Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Leicester 0-1 Liverpool. Foxes are down after their NINTH straight goalless match at home. Reds can clinch the title Wednesday if Arsenal lose at Palace
odessasteps Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Wonder if the Wrexham TV people want them to go up automatically or want the drama of a Wembley playoff
Pete Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Not enough talk about Columbus moving their match with Miami yesterday to a bigger stadium. No, not the 'Shoe. CLEVELAND. They got the big crowd (60,614), but way to completely chump your fanbase by making them travel 3+ hours in each direction. 1
AxB Posted April 21 Posted April 21 6-0, fucking hell. And it's Burnley vs Sheffield United in the late kickoff, where anything but a Sheffield win guarantees Leeds' automatic promotion tonight. Looks good, when you look at the table, and your team's Goal Difference is higher than almost every other team's Goals Scored.

Yo-Yo's Roomie Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Well done, Leeds. I hate you lot, obvs, but you're a premier league team. Hope Sunderland go up via the play-offs. Another proper club. Anyone but Sheff Utd really. As dull as it gets. At the other end of the table, great win at West Brom today but since everyone else (except Cardiff) won down there, it's a bit as you were. I reckon because of our goal difference if we win one of our last two we should be okay. Hopefully the next one away at Hull. 1

The Natural Posted April 21 Posted April 21 (edited) Automatic promotion is so tight in League 2. Bradford City were 0-2 away at Chesterfield then 1-3 to draw 3-3. Doncaster are top on 78, Port Vale 77 points in second and City on 75, 1 point ahead of Walsall. We play Doncaster next and Fleetwood at home. I think we'll miss out on automatic :(.
