Huggins in a state that has drive thru daiquiri stands feels like a bad pairing.

Saint Francis University has announced that it is leaving Division One and dropping all the way down to Division Three, where it will join the Presidents Athletic Conference, beginning with July 1st of 2026.

The stress of travel (and being really in the middle of nowhere) is hitting them.

I knew better but my honest first reaction was, "isn't Bob Huggins dead?"

poachwatch 2025: Kevin Willard leaving Maryland for Villanova?

I am deeply enjoying how quickly all this Willard stuff went off the rails

The Kevin Willard thing is so strange as it really feels like the majority of people tied to Maryland basketball are actually pissed that they made the Sweet 16.   I guess this would be if Steeler fans would be mad that they went to the Super Bowl (just a scenario I know I know) after finally thinking that management would be pissed at how a Tomlin season usually happens and change things

The way I am seeing it is they are more pissed that he "ruined" their tournament run by basically bringing all the unwarranted attention

It seems they were gonna get boat raced by Florida no matter what but it gives folks an outlet for blame.

Well that and the fact that basically everyone is ignoring that Maryland had a good season now because of how messy it got at the end

Despite how weak and corrupt it is, I think it's clear this is how professional free agency would be if the NBA/NFL's players had never formed a union.

In the 1970s, Charlie Finley suggested MLB have free agency every season with every contract being one year. The players quickly realized that would screw 98% of them so they went with the current system. College players will get there eventually.
