Excuse me, what does this have to do with fast food?! 🤬

Ma'am, I think Technico Support answered this in the post right before yours.

O'Connor on BTS with the usual stuff.

There is some solid "out of context quote" potential with O'Connor saying

Spoiler

"oh Dewey Robertson, you're fucked" (context: 100% tariff on Linkmobiles)

Kris's internet going out means part of the podcast is Kris on a phone, which is a great old-school podcast sound if you remember the BlogTalkRadio days of wrestling podcasts

Thankfully they did not ruin another 1980s show last week by having O’Connor on. I m happy to skip a 2000s show except for halftime.

I like O'Connor more than most but prefer him to be on episodes that aren't as full of interesting stuff. 2004 qualifies as that's when I started really losing interest in WWE.

I really liked John Pollock last week. I always enjoy the Post tv reviews he does. I know he's busy but it'd be nice to have him on again.  Also wouldn't mind Sempervive coming back on.

Episode 500 falling in the middle of March does sorta mess with their options for shows with big shows or whatever since Wrestlemania has happened before March 20th twice

Their first mid-March had them doing 2004/1995 episodes in 2016, then 1993/1997 in 2017, 1994/1986 in 2018, 1998/1996 in 2019, 1985/1994 in 2020, 1987/1998 in 2021, 1995/1984 in 2022, 2000/1991 in 2023, and 1996/1988 in 2024.

I mean, maybe Uncensored 99 fits into the schedule if they wanna do a notoriously bad show. They've done March 21st through April 18th in four episodes and Uncensored was on March 14th.

I don't think they've done Wrestlemania 2002 either (they did March 3rd-9th and March 20th-26th)

I think Bix has teased a special guest for episode 500. I presume means someone who is not a regular guest like Beau.

In a perfect world, it would be Steve Beverly.

I just realized that, given Greg lives in Cooperstown, our JYD replacement talk should have included VORP ratings.

not gonna watch the Violent J episode of Brisco and Bradshaw since I've tried my best to not remember which ICP member is the chunky guy who looks like the SmashMouth singer and which one is the skinny bald one

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be checking that out. Say what you will about ICP's music (I will maintain that they're not a bad group and some of their production is pretty innovative and they've apologized for some of their old lyrics) they love wrestling and have given a lot of guys good pay days plus they put on a JCW show where I got to see Tracy Smothers in a wild crowd brawl.

The episode of Brian Solomon's show that has Adam Pearce is not great. I hoped for some good indie stories and instead got a bunch of talk that implies they don't understand why in 2025 people don't like Cornette and blaming it on "the internet smart marks." It's pushing the Yeet agenda hard too.

They rhymed “hurricanrana” with “Eminem’s mama” and snuck a payoff to Terry Funk.  The clowns are alright by me.

Stranglemania was a formative experience in my youth.

Hell, the first JCW video is a "bad wrestling " classic.  Evil Dead was what the ECW Zombie should have been.

Stranglemania is juvenile, dumb, and fucking hilarious.  It's also free on YouTube and just as amazing now as when I first watched it on a VHS tape at a friend's house like 28 years ago.

My first trade on CrazyMax included Stranglemania, a few IWA MS shows and a video with a bunch of clips including Day Dreaming and Live Bait (iykyk)

Circling back to the Brian Solomon show...he also puts over Aldis and Pearce as NWA champs, touting them as the longest reigning and Pearce as being only behind Harley and Flair for most reigns. I was listening while portioning pot roast and was definitely talking to the speaker. Like...the NWA was dead! Of course they had long reigns! Honestly,  the only time I was interested in Pearce was during the Cabana series. Aldis had the Cody matches and what else? Clinging to the NWA is something I will never get. Respect the history but let it die.

I bought Stranglemania 2 at a Camelot Music and tend to post the "Combat Toyota getting powerbombed gets replayed a dozen times" part whenever you bring this up. You can find it yourself today but it's still hilarious.

Makes me wonder just how long Mike Rapada had the belt.

179 days

After looking that up, I must apologize.  Either Solomon said it wrong or I misheard (most likely) and Pearce is 8th on the list of combined reigns. Point still stands.

Not a fan of ICP's music, but after hearing one of them(on hallucinogens) on an episode of "Zac Amico's Midnight Spook Show" I've been a fan. Dude was there onstage tripping balls watching a cheesy horror movie and enjoying himself. He was also on an episode of "Legion Of Skanks" with Roseanne and he came off as the sane one.

I haven't watched any of the clips, but there is videotaped proof of Cornette talking to people in person from the QOTR premiere in Louisville

Meanwhile, the Cornette video YouTuber commenters are readying to use DDP Yoga to beat up Brian Last for his comment putting down DDP in a recent clip

Posted (edited)

He certainly posted pictures of he and Stacy at the premiere, including with (i presume) the stars of the movie and I think Kamille.  I presume he did not pose with any of TK’s people that may have been there who were in the movie.

Edit: at the moment, they posted clips on JC talking to the director, the star and Kamille and his old OVW announcer Dean Hill.

Last has certainly been uncharitable to DDP, saying things like “He always makes sure there are cameras there when he is trying to rehab people like Jake and now Lex.”

OMG who gives a fuck?  If he’s helping people, he’s helping people.  Cornette and Last being the wrestling equivalent of Andrew Tate or Alex Jones helps nobody and actively hurts a lot of disturbed people.
