I was going through the early Observer Rumble reviews and Young Meltzer comes across as the type of Board poster that most people would have on ignore.  It's a fluke f timing that his entire empire is based around starting before almost anyone was online.

Joey Janela apparently got into a legit fight with Dylan Bostic at a GCW show last night.  I had to google who Bostic was, as I had no idea the name

just realized that my "Meng or Haku" thing where I call him Meng because of when I started watching and others call him Haku because of when they started watching might also apply to if you call Sam Fatu "Tama" or "Tonga Kid"

He'll always be Haku to me. Sam Fatu is Tama to me since I first saw him as half of the Islanders with Haku. 

Yeah. Meng. I never knew him as Haku. And I always thought he was just a big sucky guy who did a nerve hold with no idea he would like, pull your eye out and eat it. 

I'm still calling him King Tonga, karate pants and all. 🙂

I'd seen Haku in passing but knew him mostly as Meng. My friends and I loved the Tongan Death Grip as a finisher, at least one person used it every time we jumped on the trampoline

Read this as "my Meng Haiku thing" and thought we were about to be treated to some violent poetry!

Lanny Poffo managing Meng and the Barbarian would have been something.. lots of Haku poems possible there

I think of him as Meng (or TheMonsterMeng from the old CRZ recaps I think) but have faint memories of him as Haku because I traded the Lion King and Madden 94 Sega Genesis games with my buddy for his Sega Master System and games and his VHS copy of WM6 when we were in 5th grade and I used to watch the hell out of that thing. I also couldn't figure out why I didn't get back in time during the intermission until I realized they didn't take the full intermission of it on the tape (it was maybe 2 minutes). 

 

So the bowling US Open was also in Indianapolis this weekend so they sent some WWE folks to the event for a segment and I'm shocked they didn't have anyone that bowled they could send. I know at the PBA Championships they sent Corbin and JD last year since it was near where Corbin lives and JD is actually a bowler.

I watched it on YouTube and they must have cut that part. I thought WWE and Fox didn't have a TV relationship anymore?

In some cases, it could even be Samoan Savage for Sam Fatu, but I guess that option would be pretty rare (while also lucky). I first saw him as Tama, while his big top rope splash as Tonga Kid was still playing during a commercial (that also featured one of the most amazing Paul Orndorff piledrivers) for WWF Superstars of Wrestling.

There’s probably some weird kid whose first exposure to Tonga Kid was Body Slam

Reusing the Tonga Tom name would be a good name for a very casual Pacific Islander wrestler

WWE and Fox don't have a relationship (there is the Tubi/Evolve deal but I don't know if that really counts) so I was kind of surprised to see it during the broadcast.

EJ made an insane run to come back during the qualifying. Andrew Anderson has had a good start to the season too so it'll be interesting to see how the season plays out.

Man I loved that movie as a kid but the “small person” in the movie dropping the F word (not the four letter one) nonstop really killed my nostalgia for it. I will say the conman-y main character from A team was basically Eric Bischoff in a movie.

Fox owns Tubi outright, so Evolve being on Tubi would indeed be a WWE/Fox relationship.
