On the bright side, Jalen Hurts now will have more Super Bowl appearances than Aaron Rodgers.

I know its a running joke that the NFL makes rule changes just from things that happen in Chiefs games (either for them or against them) but it is 2025. Other sports use high tech tracking, there is no reason the football can't have tracking sensors to assist in how far a ball goes. It won't help in all situations of course, but it would help at the goal line and plays like the Bills "failed" 1st down. No reason to have two officials 25 yards away from where the ball is both trying to figure out if it went two inches or four inches forward (and both having different spots, oddly the one on the 'ball' side was overruled by the one that couldn't see the ball), use technology that already exists and make the right calls. Not only for the sake of a fair game but to eliminate "refs are dumb" chatter after every big close game.

Although on the plus side, another year where the Super Bowl party will basically be a reason to get together, eat fried chicken, drink beer, bullshit about whatever, and play change poker with the game on in the background and no one giving a shit about it. And then we all leave at halftime because we’re old and who fucking cares.

Has to be frustrating for Josh because once again people will call him a choker and that he can't win when it matters but I really can't think of one of these Chiefs losses where you out right blame him for the loss .

Oh and Nate Burleson take that boot licking somewhere else.  we can more than be sick of seeing the Chiefs.  Just like we had every right to be sick of the Pats

the Bills going heavy run in the 3rd quarter with Josh Allen is one of those things that ages differently if they win that game... a loss means you spent a quarter using your MVP player to run and hand the ball off, and then when you fell behind, you went away from the run and didn't pull it off on the last drive

I'm sticking with rooting from Saquon simply out of love for him/spite towards the fools running my NY Giants... but if KC has found a way to finally kill the wonderfully named but still awful tush push then maybe they deserve another championship for doing such a public good.

For sure.  They scored 29 today, didn't have a turnover, and Allen pulled off a miracle throw to extend their final drive - and it got dropped.  He did enough for them to win.

I want the Eagles to win for two reasons.

1) Fuck the Chiefs.

2) I want the It's Always Sunny gang to get a second chance at making a good Super Bowl episode.

I empathize with Bills fans. I went through it as a Colts fan (and there's not even much to talk about with my Bears fandom) where Manning was chasing and chasing and chasing a Super Bowl only to always run into the Patriots or trip over their dicks against Pittsburgh. This year really felt like the year where it would be the year where the Bills have the Brittle Bob intercepting Tom Brady moment to seal a win for the Colts moment. It sucks it didn't happen. The only thing I can say is that every year the Colts would lose and the Patriots would win felt like the last year the Colts would be in contention for a Super Bowl only to be right back there the next year.

I do think that if the Bills can largely keep this team together that they will get there and they'll do what Jim Kelly couldn't do in 4 straight years and bring an end to the long suffering for their fan base and that will be a very good year. I think they're so close. Really close. Just keep the band together and keep knocking on that door. I mean, look at the Colts team that actually won that Super Bowl. Prior to that season they not only had Manning, Wayne, and Harrison, but they also had Edgerin James! Edge leaves for Arizona and I believe said it wasn't about money and it was more about winning a Super Bowl (which I feel shitty for because then Arizona actually went to a Super Bowl). The Colts then draft Joseph Addai, which was pretty exciting because he was electric with LSU, but he was no Edge, and yet...they won a Super Bowl with Addai playing his best ball in that season (probably) and, again, BRITTLE FUCKING BOB SANDERS, MR. GLASS HIMSELF, sealing a victory in the AFC championship game by picking off Tom Brady. I mean, come on.

So, if you're a Bills fan, today sucks a lot, but I see what happened with the Colts happening with the Bills. Time is a flat circle and all that. I love all of you Bills fans. You're crazy, passionate, you love this team which has been brutal to you. It's the fanbase that's probably closest to the Cubs. Except, the Cubs have a loser like Ronnie Woo Woo as their main fan cheerleader and you guys have Pinto Ron, so advantage Bills fans.

Absolutely wishing the Eagles trolled Washington into another leaping offsides penalty for the ref to give the Birds a touchdown by discretion. It would have easily been a Top 5 all-time sports moment for me and the gates of hell that is Philly would have opened.

This is in my neighborhood, which is pretty far from Center City. Hilarious that this happened at The Bayou. It’s a crappy frat kid bar with a notoriously bad brunch. A+ location scouting.

The only thing I'm worried about for the Bills in the next few years is them playing Josh Allen like Cam Newton when James Cook has shown that he's a really good runningback.  If nothing else it won't be so damn predictable and you'll be saving Allen's body for the future.  The absolute worst thing that can happen is them running him into the ground and when their time finally comes he's not physically able to do it.  His passing numbers were way down this year and he's scored almost 30 rushing touchdowns over the last two seasons.  It's excessive, irresponsible, and unnecessary.  They're playing him like Jalen Hurts who everyone still questions whether or not he's an NFL level passer.  Lamar Jackson never really runs goal line and short yardage and that is before they had Derrick Henry.  We're at the point where the best quarterbacks all run, but there is a difference between taking the yardage you can get and using your quarterback like a fullback.  They've probably already shortened his career, and it doesn't make sense when he's a more than capable passer.

Well it was a fun season. Goodbye football.

the only fun thing about this season was that one Chargers kicker actually making a Free Kick for the first time in 50 years.  Flush the rest.

This really truly is the 1 good thing that never ends, that I can fall back on, Aaron Rodgers spiraling further down into madness.

What’s worse now is that now Allen, although he clearly didn’t choke, can’t be defended by a missed kick or a :13 type fuckery. I wouldn’t even straight up blame the defense. Defenses so rarely stop the offense at clutch time. Even when they do everything right it still takes getting a break which the Chiefs did when that ball still hit the Bill’s player in the hands. Yeah it would have been a good catch, but most guys make that catch. It took a break for the Chiefs for him not to. EDIT: wtf typo

Everybody are you pulling for the Eagles more or less than you did vs the Pats?

I’ll add that Addai belongs in the HoF ftw because of how good of a blocking back he was. He used to stand LBs up on their heels in the middle. Him and Greene for the Packers were the GOAT at that and they were a reason those teams won. They did it every 3rd down after running up the middle twice before. They seriously belong on any list of GOAT blocking backs with all the old FBs.

That was something I was practically shouting at my tv yesterday. They ran the most predictable 2 pt. conversion last night, the first one, and it was beyond obvious that the Chiefs D was going to stop it. And despite how obvious it was, they sent Josh Allen into the meat grinder anyway. Now that dude may think God or Jesus or whatever is going to protect his body, but science is science.

It was also frustrating to see them attempt two 2 pt. conversions. Just take the points! They scored back-to-back TDs, they kick an extra point on each and it's an entirely different game. It's a difference of a point then at times in the 3rd and 4th quarter, but maybe that changes the Chiefs gameplan and puts more pressure on them instead of failing twice and only being up 22-21 instead of 24-21.

Addai was definitely a hoss. I think if the Colts got the same production out of him that he had in his first two years they probably would have had a third Super Bowl appearance.
