I'm SO looking forward to the day that the brand new NXT men's champion makes it to the main roster, just so he can team up with Dominic Mysterio. I want to see if they have the balls to name the team "FemiDom"? Still, it's pretty safe to say that most likely "Dirty FemiDom" is off the table in any case.

Dug the opening with Oba and Tony talking and hints of a double titles match while setting up Tony/Ridge and Oba/Eddie for next week.

Stephanie/Shotzi was occasionally rough at moments but pretty solid overall. I do like the implications that Stephanie doesn't necessarily lose her title shot as much as Shotzi's gets the first attempt at the title. Was kind of annoyed with PnP being used for the post match with Vaquer hunting down Jacy and Fallon instead of being used for the match itself.

Page/Dante was fine while it lasted. Was nice to see Evans finally attempt some revenge despite the failure.

Lash/Jakara vs. Alba/Isla was pretty solid even with rougher moments. It was nice to see both teams get  good displays of what they can do.

Cora/Kelani was pretty decent. Liking Kelani continuing to bring more attitude in her matches. Feels like Cora is completely back in a comfortable place ring wise at this point. She isn't in the upper echelon of the division's talents, but she is in a decent middle spot. Masha Slamovich in the crowd was aneat surprise. Curious if she will actually do anything like Jordynne did last year or if this was just to promote Genesis.

FrAxiom vs. OTM was good and deserved a PLE spot with the work both teams put in. OTM looked great here and will be successful as a team of killer power guys either when they win the NXT titles or move to the main roster. DIY popping up to check out FrAxiom was neat. Feels like a hint towards a potential move when Axiom and Frazer's reign ends.

The final segment with Roxanne was a fun lure the crowd into her kindness bit until she acted liked a cocky bitch again. Bayley coming out was not what I expected. Was annoyed to see things end right before Bayley and Roxanne started fighting. They really need to do a better job of their timing. Guessing/hoping this mean Roxanne moves to Smackdown a screws over Bayley.

Thought the wrestling was solid here with FrAxiom/OTM easily being the standout. Still the women's tag and Vaquer/Shotzi are both worth a catch as well. Liking direction many of the segments were heading as well with build for the next couple of weeks of shows.

I watched Raw tonight.

Funny story I was in San Jose over the weekend for Battle In The Valley, really fun show had a blast. When I had booked my flights I had no idea Raw was gonna be in San Jose two days after the show if I had I would have bought tickets and stayed a day later but I flew out of San Jose this Morning so I did not attend the show.

opening segment was ok. I don’t really like the talking segment to open the show but WWE really does. I’m not the biggest fan of Punk or Rollins so I don’t have any investment in this feud. Punk did have line of the night with “why couldn’t it be Rhea Ripley interrupting me”. Seth said something about crushing Punks dreams so he enters the Rumble if Seth really wants to crush Punks dreams of Main Eventing Wrestlemania why not challenge him into a rematch at The Rumble and make it a Last Man Standing Match so he’s too beat up to enter the Rumble later in the night. I do like Drew I thought his Leather Vest was cool looking. But Drew returned on a Raw I was at and attacked Punk now he’s saying Seth and Punk are fighting with each other when all three of them should be fighting Roman Reigns. When did he have this revaluation? I missed it.

Penta’s debut is why I wish attended Raw. Can’t attend them all. A girl was crying in the front row seeing Penta live. For that alone they should strap a rocket to this guy and see where it leads them. Match went longer than I thought it would, was a fun match. I was expecting a 3 minute squash but instead we got a wrestling match. I guess this really is a new era! I was going to say something about how Cole called The Canadian Destroyer the Mexican Destroyer cuz a Mexican guy did it but from the current day AAA I’ve seen the only way a tombstone is performed is as a Canadian Destroyer so maybe at this point it is The Mexican Destroyer. Penta was treated like a big deal tonight which he should be this is a big get for WWE. I hope they realize it’s a big get and he doesn’t become just another guy in the span of two weeks.

Sheamus vs Kaiser in a street fight. What really is a street fight? A No DQ match? Why not just call it a No DQ match, if they are not gonna be fighting in the streets then don’t call it a street fight. I also got an ad break during the match, I understand ads on the live broadcast it’s American everyone who can make a Buck is gonna try to make a Buck but we can’t just do as breaks after the matches. They did ad breaks between entrances why did there have to be an ad break mid match they don’t go to break mid play in an NFL game. Pet peeve of mine. I haven’t spoken much about the match but I don’t know if there is much too talk about. Sheamus won with a brogue kick and it seemed to please the crowd. There was a small “this is awesome chant” but I disagree it was alright but not awesome it wasn’t really a street fight they fought around ringside and used a shillelagh in ring that hardly constitutes as a No DQ Match. I did like the shoving match between Sheamus and Bron after the match. Sheamus can have a good Hoss Match and Bron Breaker looks like he’s built for Hoss Matches.

If they were dead set on having an in ring segment start off the show it should have been Gunther and Jey Uso. Gunther being the arogent champion thinking Jey didn’t stand a shot and Jey giving an impassioned promo about being underestimated before and defying expectations. We got the Main Event for Saturday Night’s Main Event. I’m rooting for Jey to win. I think he should get a big singles push. the man is over and can cut a promo. As long as he doesn’t wrestle Jimmy again talk about a disappointing brother match. But I do think Jey should get a run with The World Championship.

Lyra Valkyria vs Dakota Kai was good another ad during the match I don’t understand why we can’t just not have ad breaks on Netflix between entrances and after matches that should be plenty. Back to the match it was a good match a little short but it was treated like a big deal and the crowd seemed into it.

I do like that Minute Maid commercial.

MIZ does nothing for me there’s been times I’ve been into the angle he was doing but right now no interest, Sami Zayn I’m a big fan whatever he does I’m interested in he knows how to make it interesting. I liked this match. MIZ was perfectly fine in this match. Sami wins no complaints.

With the ovation Rhea Ripley got maybe she should have opened up Raw. I liked Nia’s promo just talking shit on everybody. I think Nia called Baylay BBL Baylay and I chuckled. Nia Jax says what we are all thinking. The heel talks shit and gets beat up by the faces. I’m a sucker for the classics.

So earlier in the show Michael Cole said streetfight then Sheamus vs Kaiser happened and I mistook it for the streetfight explains a lot about the match. Finn Balor vs Damian Priest was a street fight. I saw Damian Priest live in a street fight against Jay White at an ROH show in Las Vegas many moons back. I haven’t seen that match in awhile but I remembered it involved thumbtacks. Balor and Priest have a not too pleasant history with each other and they wrestled like two guys who have a not too pleasant history with each other. They brawled in the crowd they used plunder there was a man in a suit awkwardly getting out of the shoot. The falcon arrow spot was pretty rad. I was gonna bitch about another ad break during a match but they come back to Balor on a stretcher so it’s justifiable in Kayfabe so I’m ok with that but to argue would have been more impactful if it was the only ad break during a match throughout the night. Match was really fun. Solid Main Event.

i enjoyed the show for the most part. Am I upset I wasn’t at the show? No would’ve have been cool to see Penta’s debut but that’s the only thing I’m upset I missed the main was cool but idk I’m not upset I wasn’t live for that.

Also if you haven’t seen Punishment Martinez vs Jay White from what I remember it’s a really good match.

I believe that was his daughter

The biggest advantage Penta has is that WWE fans have no problem if you are playing the greatest hits in the ring.   As long as that taunt is over he is in good shape.

I really wish they would get rid of the "sticking the leg behind the steel steps will cause a major injury" trope in wrestling.   I can't remember the last that has looked even moderately painful.   Watching last night, you can argue that Page helped Dante because he pushed the steps off his leg.

NXT having way more women's matches than men's matches, is some of the more refreshing things in a while, although I have watched TNA, which sometimes seems to have about 50/50 on some weeks.

I did think that Chen had some of the better "come on don't do that" facials as Page prepared to "crush" the leg.  I'm with you on the overall spot but he really did a good job of looking like he was nervous about what Page was about to do.

So yeah Corey Graves is not happy about his current situation.  There is a video showing Vic introduce Corey and boy was that a boo boo face.  Just wait until he has to deal with Booker T for about a month

Corey has deleted these tweets and his brother says "NOT A WORK".

So, yeah, Graves/McAfee at Mania.   Night... hmm... 2?

The PiP break with Stephanie stomping around backstage sure seemed like it was supposed to have audio. They must have really blown their timing or something. (They also did a full break during the main event, which seemed odd but not unprecedented.)

That PiP break with Stephanie stomping around actually made me keep watching instead of fast forwarding this morning so that's something.

NXT was fun and easy to watch, again. The tag match was great, unsurprisingly. FrAxiom is such a good tag team. Women's matches were okay, if a little rough. Not surprised they might be going back to the Don for Oba. I liked their most recent match quite a bit.

I'm guessing Roxy costs Bayley the ttle this Friday. If they use this to call her up to the main roster, I might dip in for that match.

I really enjoy the roving camera in the backstage segments. Gives it a fun chaotic feel. Got some more of my NXT: The Next Generation segments and I started to recast Degrassi. So far, Shotzi is my Ellie while Hank and Tank just become two Spinners. They need to hire some brooding singer type so we can have a Craig.

I think I would lose my mind if I ever heard one of the women quote Manny and call another one "cuckoo bannanas."

Bloodline 2.0 could use a Paul Jones to counter Heyman. Would that make Tonga Loa the new Teijo Khan?

Edit: Just not the version of Paul Jones with that moustache, that would be in poor taste

Opening segment with KO and Rey was an ok setup for Owens/Rey later in the night.

Bianca/Naomi vs. Nia/Candice was pretty solid with decent action, pacing, and some nice heeling from Nia.

Jimmy/Hayes was solid. This felt like a confirmation that Jimmy is better than Jey as singles. He exudes so much more comfort and confidence when he wrestles solo. He also seems more willing to try different things. It's a pity the match ended with a non-finish via Jacob/Tama beatdown. Still, I actually like the post match with Solo seeming a bit lost and Jacob getting in a good moment on the mic afterward. Also happy to see Knight and Braun coming out for revenge as well. Looking forward Jacob/Braun at SNME. I would be perfectly fine with this one having a non-finish if it gives us the same craziness we saw in the Braun/Bronson feud.

Los Garzas vs. MCMG built into something good despite the Pretty Deadly interference ending. Was nice to see los Garzas doing some new things.

Piper/B-Fab was a bit of a nothing match. Not bad, just a minor showcase for B-Fab. Still didn't really feel like it did either woman much favors as it was just further dressing for the Mia/Chelsea feud that has been going on for 4-5 months now.

Owens/Rey was good as expected. The Cody/Owens brawl post match was fun to see. Don't care about the contract signing all that much thought it will be fun to see the reaction for HBK on SNME.

Bayley/Tiffany was pretty good with plenty of nice action and neat moments. Still feels like they could have used a few less pinfall attempts in the late portions of the match. Was weird not seeing any real involvement from Nia or Roxanne during the match or post match. Roxanne was even there in the audience. I guess its at least different from the norm and led to a nice clean victory for Tiffany's first defense.

Pretty nice match wise. Don't think anything was great, but all but one match were solid or better. Bayley/Tiffany and Rey/Owens were particularly worthwhile. Segment wise most was enjoyable and not too long. Also thought there was decent build for next week Smackdown and SNME. Solid show.
