Tromatagon Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I didn't need to know Meltzer was into French Ticklers dude 1
Ligerbusa Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Why was Bryan obsessing over WWE not signing AJ Styles as TNA Champion? It's not exactly a Ric Flair situation. WWE wouldn't acknowledge it and he wouldn't appear on their TV with the title and TNA would just move on with Magnus. It's not going to be a big deal outside of the TNA fanbase.

I disagree, I think most fans would know who AJ Styles is. I hate bringing up Edge/Matt Hardy/Lita storyline. Fans chanting We Want Matt was not in the original storyline plans. WWE was just smart to capitalize off the heat. Let's not act like the average wrestling fan is stupid. With that being said, AJ Styles buzz would wear off and he would become a mid carder.
Ligerbusa Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I'm not saying they don't know who Styles is, I'm saying no one gives a shit about the TNA title.
Bustronaut Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Who in WWE would be least damaged by a comedy TNA title win? Tensai, maybe?
Matt D Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 TNA has a fanbase? I actually think Yoshi Tatsu, WWE: TNA champ could be great. He'd be so earnest about it. 8

That title never had any prestige. At least when they had the NWA belt, WWE could play off the history of the NWA but not the Impact Championship. I am trying to understand while there are titles in TNA at this point.
muhammedboehm Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Would Vince put the tongue in cheek and turn the TNA title into a title for a diva on total diva?
Playa Shunna Ver 3.0 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 HHH would send AJ down to Florida so he could learn how to work.

odessasteps Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 Would Vince put the tongue in cheek and turn the TNA title into a title for a diva on total diva? T-n-A isn't PG.
TerjeRUN Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Would Vince put the tongue in cheek and turn the TNA title into a title for a diva on total diva? T-n-A isn't PG. Teeth n Attitude!
Bustronaut Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 It'd be a complete waste, but having Cesaro win it and demand everyone call it the ANT title would be kinda fun. Maybe have Tensai win it and say it's rightfully his because it's got his initials "Tensai 'n' Albert"
Jerry Hattrick Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Have a tag team win it in a sarcastic manner. Saying that the title is so great, that it needs two people holding it. Hell it could be divas as far as I am concerned.
notoriusvig Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 I'm a little late to the party but did Dave ever do a bio on Vivian St. John?
Playa Shunna Ver 3.0 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 I'm a little late to the party but did Dave ever do a bio on Vivian St. John? I don't know, but if she died within the past 5 years then probably not. Seems like he is way behind.

cool arrow Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 On a tangentially related note, Dave mentioned recently that Davey Boy Smith was slated to win the WWF title at one point (presumably in '99). I'm assuming Vince changed his mind when he saw how broken-down Davey was by then?
mco543 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I can't imagine him being looked at for even a small world title run during that comeback, not with Austin, Rock, Taker, and Hunter all being in the main event picture. If Davey was going to get the belt, he should've won it at the 12/95 IYH and dropped it back to Bret at Rumble.
cool arrow Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I can't believe I forgot the IYH match. That was one of the highlights of a very shitty year for the WWF.
