Mitchell at one point went for the hot-tag on Bryan, to get his opinion on the HHH/Grantland incident, but BIG DAVE cut him off quickly and BURIED Bryan's opinion.

So, basically, Bryan sat around while the grown-ups talked to each other for 90 minutes.

Too bad this wasn't a free show.

See, if this happened regularly, I'd subscribe again.

From today's update:

1981 - In Memphis, Joey Cagle & Rocky Sorter beat Eddie Gilbert & Ricky Morton to win the Southern tag team titles, Steve Keirn beat Bugsy McGraw to win the Mid-American title, Dream Machine beat Jerry Lawler in a loser leaves town match to win the Southern title when Koko Ware turned heel on Lawler as referee

Joey Cagle & Rocky Sorter?

Sounds like Dave pulled a HHH.

He had a reason to do it. Bryan went with the old "maybe he mixed things up" argument.

A tag team called The Heartbreakers. One of those '80s tag teams where it was two fat guys with blonde mullets doing evil pretty boy gimmicks. I don't think they were in the wrestling business much longer beyond this. I think they are part of an eight-man tag that is part of the '80s Memphis set.

1979 - IC champion Pat Patterson beat WWF champion Bob Backlund in a title vs. title match in Springfield, MA

That can't be right, can it?  Patterson was never WWF champion.

Patterson won via countout.  Belt didn't change hands.

Patterson beat Backlund at least a couple times during late '79, but never cleanly so he never won the title.

The best is 30 seconds into the episode Alvarez makes a joke about Night of Champions going against the season finale of Total Divas and Dave just deadpanning "that's not going to hurt them"
