Curt McGirt Posted February 21 Posted February 21 This may be premature, but it is definite: Reggie Bannister of the Phantasm films has entered hospice care.
Curt McGirt Posted February 21 Posted February 21 https://www.fangoria.com/write-to-reggie-bannister/ This is very sweet. If you want to write to Reggie, while he has time, he would love to hear from you. 1 1
(BP) Posted February 21 Posted February 21 I had a bad feeling when I saw he’d canceled on the upcoming MonsterMania con near me.
COLETTI Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Miss Yvonne awakened so many of our inner Ciberneticos.. pouring one out for a real one. 3
Zimbra Posted February 25 Posted February 25 George Armitage, who got his start working for Roger Corman and went on to Direct Miami Blues and Grosse Pointe Blank, passed away last week at age 82. Grosse Pointe Blank is still great and is maybe the best of the 99999 movies about hitmen that came out in the 90s. 3
Cobra Commander Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Michelle Trachtenberg found dead at 39. Cause “is not believed to be suspicious.” Recently had a liver transplant. 4
J.H. Posted February 26 Posted February 26 SovMichelle Trachtenberg has passed at 39 after being found dead in her NYC apartment. She recently had a liver transplant and it is believed she may have complications from that. James 2
odessasteps Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Is she the first main cast member of Buffy to pass away? I did a Quick Look at the imdb and didn’t notice anyone at least in the top 20 people listed.

Cobra Commander Posted February 27 Posted February 27 I'm sure famous people who were younger than me have died, but a famous person who is a month older than me dying is some real rough stuff if you're getting a liver transplant in your 30s, some sort of rough thing is going on
odessasteps Posted February 27 Posted February 27 I have seen a lot of people compare it to when Brittany Murphy died, regarding younger people being upset at someone their age dying.

Zimbra Posted March 4 Posted March 4 George Lowe, the voice of Space Ghost, has passed away. For me, this one hurts almost as much as losing Hackman. 5
Cliff Hanger Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Dragon Con is absolutely not going to be the same without Uncle George. Anybody want to trade pants for old time's sake?
NikoBaltimore Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Man, that sucks. Space Ghost was the shit. RIP, George. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzt6ybS4Pss I feel since Youtube can't won't link properly I'll just take a cue from Bluesky and go Alt Text on this. So here's a best of Space Ghost vid that might not cover everything but it has a lot of the good shit.
COLETTI Posted March 4 Posted March 4 The Macho Man (as Space Ghosts's dad) episode of SGC2C is one of my favorite things ever, and boy oh boy, did 20yo Coletti Getting Into Cannabis and his fellow enthusiasts enjoy the Busta Rhymes one... 2
RIPPA Posted March 5 Author Posted March 5 Pete Engel - best known (for at least my generation) as the Executive Producer on Saved By the Bell - passed away at the age of 88 https://variety.com/2025/tv/news/peter-engel-dead-saved-by-the-bell-1236327276/ 1
JLSigman Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Pamela Bach, actress on "Young and the Restless", "Knight Rider", and "Baywatch", died of suicide at age 62. https://www.seattletimes.com/entertainment/pamela-bach-actor-and-ex-wife-of-david-hasselhoff-dies-at-62/
Dolfan in NYC Posted March 17 Posted March 17 David Steven Cohen, head writer of Courage, The Cowardly Dog has died. He was 58.
Contentious C Posted March 17 Posted March 17 https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/17/arts/emilie-dequenne-dead.html Ugh. Rosetta is one of the rare movies that any film lover should go out of their way to find, and she's brilliant in it. Fuck cancer.
Control Posted March 21 Posted March 21 https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/wings-hauser-dead-vice-squad-soldiers-story-1236169294/ Wings Hauser, B-movie legend, has died. 3
Curt McGirt Posted March 21 Posted March 21 If you have never seen Vice Squad you are missing out on possibly the most deranged, greasy, vile performances of a villain in screen history from Wings in the form of the pimp Ramrod. I say that with no small emphasis. It's a level of frenzy that is unmatched. He was also excellent in the horror flick Mutant back in the '80s as I recall. RIP 2
