Robert S Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 My favorite scene is when Claudius stumbles out of the theater during the play-within-a-play, Oldman's character (Wikipedia claims he played Rosencrantz, spoiling the joke that even they don't really know who is who) says "It wasn't that bad." And I just read that someone wrote a play where Rosencrantz and Guildenstern realize that they are characters in a play called "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead", that's really brilliant.

Tagawa's performance was so well received, he returned to voice the character in Mortal Kombat 11 videogame. RIP Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa.
