Sauce Gardner just got a 4/121 extension from the Planes as well.  This makes him the highest paid CB in the league.  

Because when you've got a guy that OC's are figuring out a mere 3 years into his career, of COURSE you give him the richest contract ever.

There are fewer top line cornerbacks in the league than quarterbacks.  If you have one, you pay them, even if they have a down year.  Sauce Gardner is a two-time All-Pro and will be 25 when the season starts and is one of the few corners who can match up physically with large receivers.  This signing is a no brainer.  At his worst he's a top-10 player at the position but he's a top-3 talent.
