More specifically - the injury the issues came from was sustained during his last game at Florida State

Kevin Wilson Posted May 5 Posted May 5 I can't imagine anything less appealing then fighting with hundreds of thousands of people to get to the capitol lawn to listen to draft picks being read. Then hundreds of thousands of people all trying to leave at the same time. I know I am not the target audience for these events but people that find this fun should be put on a special list. Unless you live within easy walking distance and just check it out for a few hours, I'd understand that anyway.

I think the greatest consensus you will find in all of the DMV is our utter disdain of July 4th weekend. The combination of tourists, traffic, and weather all combine to become the single largest possible shit show.
RIPPA Posted May 5 Author Posted May 5 It is also fairly obvious that the NFL is going to try and get the President to announce a selection which will turn it into a bigger shit show (due the required security that would come with that) They might as well just close the Federal Government now for that entire week 1

I would say viewing the cherry blossoms by the Tidal Basins is almost as bad, except that the weather is usually better.

At least the Cherry Blossom's are pretty. No, I've never been to the Tidal Basins during blooming seaons, why do you ask??
Dolfan in NYC Posted May 5 Posted May 5 You just know getting there is going to require transferring in L'Enfant Plaza twice for some reason.

The cherry blossom festival sucks, but it is tucked away in one little corner. You can kind of maneuver around it if you know your way around, but it's probably #2 on the list of worst weekends to be in DC. The weather factor is what makes it a distant #2. Spring in DC is short and unpredictable, but when it's nice it's really nice. Summer is long and predictable, it's not only hot, but the weather gaslights you because the heat index is always 5-15 degrees hotter than the temperature. I don't care that the temperature is 92 if it feels like 108...as far as I'm concerned it's actually 108.

Anybody on the beltway that day might as well sleep on the side of the road And the upcharge on what little Ezpass we have in this area on those 2 days. Edited May 5 by hammerva

hammerva Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Well so much for waiting for the inevitable powder keg that was DK Metcalf and George Pickens working together. This Steelers offense is going to be torture to watch at this rate even if Rodgers joins the team Careful what you wish for Dallas
Dolfan in NYC Posted May 7 Posted May 7 The deal is: Pickens and a 6 for Dallas' 3 and a 7 in two years
Kevin Wilson Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Gabe Davis cut by the Jaguars. I'm sure a year ago I posted that the contract he got was insane based on his skill level, I assume the Jags realized the same. He'll get picked up somewhere, he's a solid #3 or #4 option but he's just not top level or near to it. 1
supremebve Posted May 7 Posted May 7 I was just arguing about this with my coworker. Based on their time in Pittsburgh, who would you least like to have on your team, Antonio Brown or George Pickens? I don't want Pickens anywhere near my team. I can't have a guy fighting his defender during a hail mary while the ball is in the air.
hammerva Posted May 7 Posted May 7 The only benefit to Antonio Brown over Pickens is that there is still the theory that Brown wasn't a mess before Vontae Burfict hit. I don't remember hearing stories about him being a mess at Central Michigan. He wasn't much of a problem before that wild card game besides the usual WR diva attitude. Pickens had some flags at Georgia and it just got more obnoxious 1

Players as good as Antonio Brown don't leave Florida to Central Michigan without a story. He was Juco, got a scholarship to FIU, and got into a fight with security while moving into his dorm, and was expelled before the season. 1
Cobra Commander Posted May 7 Posted May 7 looking at YouTube and this was just uploaded by NFL Throwback: "How About 2 Hours of LONG TD RUNS?!?!?!" hey, gotta love the trend towards really long comp videos on YouTube
